March 18 (Wed)
Tokyo Chamber Opera Theatre Members' Concert

A concert themed "Beyond the Self," consisting of arias and songs for roles of a different gender as well as characters completely different from oneself and pieces.

I will be performing in the afternoon show with members of Mr. Aoshima's class from the Tokyo Chamber Opera Theatre in an ensemble project (I will be singing an aria for a non-human role).

April 3, 4, 5 (Wed, Thu, Fri)
Opera "The Geisha in Hawaii"

I will be performing as O-Kin-Koto, one of the four geishas.

Venue: Owlspot (Toshima Performing Arts Exchange Center)
Admission: Advance 8,000 yen, Door 9,000 yen

"The Geisha" is an opera by a composer named Sidney Jones, whom the composer Hiroshi Aoshima met while studying in Germany, and who is almost unknown in Japan.
It was a huge hit in 18th-century European theaters when it was released, and it is said to have influenced Verdi's later opera "Madame Butterfly," but both the composer and the work are almost unknown in Japan, with the only performance record being at the "Tokyo Chamber Opera Theatre," where I am currently working.

It is a mysterious work full of Japanese elements adapted from an English script.

While respecting the original, this opera will be performed as a Blue Island version, incorporating plenty of nostalgic Japanese songs and well-known opera arias.

I will be performing as O-Kin-Koto, one of the four geishas.

It is an opera full of laughter and witty remarks, and I think you will be able to go home feeling happy and cheerful.

If you are thinking of seeing an opera I am in for the first time, I recommend this one.

April 28 (Tue)
Operetta "Les Femmes de la Halle"

Offenbach's operetta "Les Femmes de la Halle" will be featured at the Tokyo Chamber Opera Theatre Sengawa Special Week 2026.

I will be performing in the evening show as a "Vegetable Seller."

It is an evening show, but since it is a short opera (operetta), it shouldn't be too late. The theater is also close to the station.

I think you will have time to watch a light comedy and get home before it gets too late, or return to a terminal station and have a light meal before heading home.

Tuesday, June 16: Opera "Hanshin" (The Half-Body)

Based on the original work by Moto Hagio, composed by Hiroshi Aoshima.
A double-feature performance of "Flare Star Petticoat" and "Hanshin".
At the Kawai Omotesando Concert Salon "Pause",

Hiroshi Aoshima Concert & Talktwo Blue Island version operas will be performed.

I will be performing in the role of Oba-B in "Hanshin".

This will be my second time performing in this, since the premiere in August 2025.
Actually, my recent diet was triggered by landing this role (I was told that between Oba-A and Oba-B, B is the slimmer character, so I should diet).

Since then, I have surprisingly lost 20kg.
I will do my best now that I am slimmer! 😅

The cast and group assignments for "Hanshin" are the same as the premiere, so if you missed it the first time, please take this opportunity to see it.

August 26, 27, 28 (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday)
Opera "Kurotokage" (The Black Lizard)

Hiroshi Aoshima's "Kurotokage"
(Based on the original work by Ranpo Edogawa, libretto by Yukio Mishima)

The 2026 performance version of "Kurotokage" is called the "Beni-tokage (Crimson Lizard) Version." In the Blue Island version, a character not in the original work appears: the "Crimson Lizard," the twin sister separated from the Black Lizard at birth.
I am also scheduled to appear as the "Elevator Girl," a character who does not appear in the main story.
