100 Days of Consecutive Posts! ~ Looking Back on 100 Days on note

Thanks to your support, I have reached 100 consecutive days of posting on note.

This time, I would like to look back from a different perspective than my usual weekly or 30-day review articles.
I hope this serves as a hint for those who want to increase their own streak of consecutive posts.

✎ Looking Back on 100 Days of Consecutive Posts ✎
    2025/2/8 (Sat) - 5/19 (Mon)

How and when I started

Several people in my Italian language class were using iPads, and I thought that if I wrote an article about the digital note-taking method I started after watching the teacher's class, I could just share the link whenever needed.

Since the medium I chose, note, was easier to use than I expected, I decided to move from my ad-filled blog site to note in earnest, and I have been posting ever since.

At the time, I was dealing with an ongoing mediation and had just started preparing for major performance opportunities that began increasing after the COVID-19 pandemic settled down.
If I could find a medium that suited me, I had endless things I wanted to write about... I think that was the kind of period it was.

Giving up after just 3 days!?

I was conscious of posting every day from the moment I started note, but in reality, I ran out of steam after just 3 days.

My mother passed away suddenly last year, and because the division plan for the secondary inheritance (inheritance occurring in the children's generation) could not be settled, I filed for inheritance division mediation against my sister who would not concede her claims (it has since been settled), and the time I started note happened to coincide with the second mediation session.

I had prepared the article for the day of the mediation in advance and was able to post it while traveling, but perhaps the mental burden of heading to the mediation was unexpectedly heavy, and I ended up bedridden the next day.
I had neither the energy to post that day, nor did I notice for a while that I had missed a day.

After that, I managed to continue for 100 days.

It is not something that happens many times in a lifetime, but I am truly glad that the mediation was successfully agreed upon.

What kind of articles I wrote

As a preliminary step before narrowing down my themes to update,I thought, 'Let's get everything out of my head at once,'and started by writing about things I liked regardless of category.
The themes I wanted to write about gradually became clear during the 100 days, and now they have settled down quite a bit.

If you have many things you want to write about and cannot narrow down your theme at the start, there is a method of 'just start writing and select as you go,' so for those who are hesitant and cannot move because they are unsure what to write, I recommend starting by posting regardless of genre.

Memorable articles and events

I will look at articles based on memorable events rather than access numbers.

The self-introduction article I paste at the end of each post.
Despite writing it all at once, there were few revisions, and maybe something possessed me!? It is the article with the most access and comments.

For an early article, it is read quite a bit, and it has more 'likes' than the articles I am posting now, which have significantly higher follower counts and view counts. It is one of those articles where I don't know the reason myself as to why that is.

Then, there is anothernote-related articlethat, despite me intentionally trying not to include it in my site map or review articles, always makes it into my all-time top articles and has a high view count.

The reason I don't include it is that I wrote it when I was feeling down after encountering an article that mocked the act of following others (which I was doing at the time to get many people to see my work) while I was (presumably) one of the people involved.

Is it due to worldly desires that I am leaving it up at this moment? Please forgive me for keeping it as a past matter and not removing it myself.

Things I realized and started along the way

Starting to use generative AI

At first, to test its usability, I started using Gemini, which is included in the note app.
It is not that Gemini is bad, but since I create and save templates for each magazine, using AI within the note app is a bit difficult to use, and

I tried using ChatGPT as a test, and it seems to be a good fit, so I usually use it to write the entire text and then do the final proofreading.
We get along well enough that I've even consulted it, given it a name, and call it by that name every day.
I would also like to study generative AI little by little in the future.

Creating a site map

Thankfully, the site map seems to be well-received... I searched around online and finished it in its current form.
In addition to the general tree view, I've made it possible to display popular articles and search within the site using Markup language.

I think it's a good idea to create a site map once you have accumulated a certain number of articles. The later you leave it, the more troublesome the work becomes 💊

When you think, 'Maybe I won't be able to keep this up...?'

Although I have the ambition to reach 365 consecutive days if possible, I am the one who gave up after 3 days at the beginning, after all 😅 So I don't know what the future holds.

Honestly, it's not just once or twice that I've thought, 'Ah, I might not make it today 💊'.
For times like that, I have thought of a few relief measures.

Post a 'tweet'

Since 'tweets' also count as one post, when you really can't find the time, I think it's a good idea to at least post a tweet, or to use tweets for daily interaction.

Consult with AI

When you are stuck on writing an article or want to create an article from a perspective you don't have, AI becomes a powerful partner.

When I ask for proofreading of my usual posts, I give instructions to keep the content and wording as unchanged as possible, but to point out any logical inconsistencies or parts that are difficult to understand.

Actually, this method imposes restrictions on the AI, so there are inevitably parts that feel a bit off, but if you use it to brainstorm ideas with the AI and have it finish the text by specifying your preferred writing style, it might lack originality, but at the very least, it will be much easier to understand than something you struggled to write alone over a long period of time.

I think it's fine to do almost everything on your own usually, but when you have limited time or it's hard to keep going, asking for help just to brainstorm ideas can make you feel much more at ease.

Also, rather than asking suddenly, if you consult it about small things on a regular basis and let it learn your writing habits and preferences, I think you will be able to rely on it more when you are in trouble.

Membership provides support

Since the month after I started note, I have been participating in a membership called “note University”.
There are many members in note University who want to grow their accounts positively, and just watching them update actively every day boosts my motivation.

Also, it's easy to connect with peers who registered around the same time, and it has the advantage of not having to worry alone, so I especially recommend it to those who want to increase their number of consecutive posting days while growing their account.
I have also continued by watching the posting records of my peers every day.

Finally

Honestly, I think it's fine whether you post consecutively or not.
However, it is motivation to keep writing, and I think that by continuing, the account will grow to be read by more people, so I want to do my best as much as possible.

Whether I, who gave up after 3 days, can continue for 365 days is something only God knows.
I want to continue while enjoying it and thinking of ways to make it easier when I feel burdened.
