Slowly returning to daily life, a quiet holiday ~ This past week (with added launch party photos)
The major events of the first half of 2025, the performances of "Suor Angelica" and "Madame de Sade," have concluded, and while rehearsals for the next opera in August, "Hanshin," have already begun...

Even so, now that the performances are over and things have calmed down a bit, I thought I would summarize the little details of my daily life today.
Since this is an article for a time of transition, it might end up being like the final installment of several articles I have posted in the daily life category in the past.
5/13 (Tue) First Launch Party
The first launch party was held the day after the Sade performance.

It was exactly one year ago that we first performed this work with the same group of people.
Counting from when we started studying at Professor Aoshima's workshop at the Tokyo Chamber Opera Theatre, and later when the performance was decided and we began preparations, it has been a surprisingly long association.
Since I belong to the Tokyo Chamber Opera Theatre, I have opportunities to work with them in concerts and such, but being able to perform twice with the same members for both day and night shows, at different times, was a truly great learning experience.
There are many members I work with in Professor Aoshima's opera company, the Blue Island Opera, and it seems our paths will continue to cross in various ways in the future.
5/14 (Wed) And off on a whirlwind trip again
The first launch party was very lively, and after holding back the urge to go to the after-party and excusing myself early, I headed to Okinawa the next day to resume my airline training, which I had put on hold during the performance period.

This time, I booked Premium Class as a reward for my hard work, but
Premium seats these days are somehow quite expensive...
Flights that arrive at times when you can enjoy the local area are all 4 to 5 times the price of the regular seats I usually take, so it's no longer a price suitable for training.
Flights that arrive at night and depart the next morning are relatively reasonable, and the cost per PP (Premium Point) seemed within an acceptable range, so I went with this.
Usually, even if I leave the house early in the morning, I arrive by noon and have time to go cafe-hopping or shopping, do work at the hotel that I can't normally do, and on the way back, I spend the morning relaxing without getting caught in the rush, so this was definitely a whirlwind trip 💦
5/15 (Thu) Encountering stereotypes
My place of stay in Naha is generally fixed, and this time it was my regular hotel where I stay nearly 30 times a year.
They know my face and name at the front desk and in the breakfast area, and they always greet me in a friendly and polite manner.
Perhaps the person in charge of the breakfast area this time hadn't met me before...
To my surprise, they spoke to me in English.
Actually, this is common at international airports like Haneda and Narita or at tourist spots with many inbound travelers, so I reflexively answered in English, but since it happened at a hotel I'm used to staying at, I was a little surprised.
And on the plane, too...
On the flight home, I was seated next to a father and his young daughter. They were both very well-mannered, including the little girl, and there were no issues at all, but
it seems the flight attendant assumed we were a family, including me...
Whenever she had to explain something, she would make eye contact with both seats at once.
When I asked for a drink, she handed it to me and said,
It's hot, so please be careful when holding your child.I was stunned.
Um...
I'm not holding her??
She's someone else's child.
The person next to me didn't seem to notice and didn't say anything, and I just let it slide (as it's more trouble to correct them, just like in the morning).
Whether it was in the morning or on the flight home,
it was interesting to experience how things can look at a glance.
The end of the inheritance issue
I have written several articles about inheritance in the past.
This is the first article. You can jump to the subsequent articles from there.
That evening, I met up with my sisters and my husband, visited the office of a tax accountant who is also a relative of my husband, and received the report that the inheritance tax filing was complete.
According to the tax accountant, because it went to mediation, the attachment of the record made the filing quite simple and clean by saving a lot of trouble.
Matters regarding my parents' home will reach a milestone after the first anniversary memorial service next month.
Various things happened regarding what my parents left behind, but it has finally settled down.
Friday, 5/16: Finally a day off!
I spent the day sleeping like the dead.
While I was awake, I spent the time looking at the sheet music I downloaded to my iPad in preparation for the next day's rehearsal.
Saturday, 5/17: Rehearsal for the opera "Hanshin" (Half-Body) begins
I was barely able to keep up with the sheet music, but I was moved by the time when the work written on the paper turned from two-dimensional to three-dimensional for the first time.
Sunday, 5/18: From daily life, the second launch party
And so the day off came around again... Feeling the fatigue from yesterday, I spent until noon just resting,
I had intended to go to the pool in the evening, but I got caught up in the novel I was reading and missed my chance💦
I'll keep reading until evening, get ready, and then head to the second launch party for Sade.
Once today's launch party is over, I wonder if that will finally be the turning point to shift to the next thing...
(Adding images)
I have returned home safely and am adding the images I received.
