Feeling 'somehow exhausted' is usually correct
There are days when I feel exhausted from the morning for no reason.
Even though I'm not sleep-deprived, my body feels heavy, and my mind is foggy when I try to focus. I'm slow to reply to emails, I get irritated by trivial things, and then I feel down about myself for that.
I try to force myself to cheer up, thinking, 'Maybe it's just my imagination.' But it doesn't work. It's probably not just my imagination. I am genuinely tired. Even if it's invisible, my mind and body are slowly wearing down.
The desire to keep trying is admirable, but feeling 'somehow exhausted' is actually a valid sign. Your body is hitting the brakes before something breaks. So, you don't need to force yourself to find a reason, and you don't need to pretend to be energetic.
Today is a day where you don't have to try hard. Slow down your work pace, buy something sweet at a convenience store, and take a deep breath.
People who can forgive themselves for feeling 'somehow' are the ones who can truly recover.
Let's rest a little today.
