Fuwari Biyori Radio: TKG for Your Heart - About the 60th Birthday Live

“The 60th Birthday Live, TKG, and the Future Me”
(BGM: Please read this while imagining the sound of a gentle acoustic guitar playing 🎸)
Good evening. This is Fuwari.
Thank you for coming to "Fuwari Biyori Radio: TKG for Your Heart" again tonight.
This radio show is a time to gently deliver warm words and events I've encountered in daily life,
**with the theme of "Tamago (Egg), Kotoba (Words), Gochiso (Feast) = TKG".**
I hope you enjoy it.
Today, I'd like to talk about something a bit personal—
about my 60th birthday live, my band "TKG," and my life from here on out,
in a relaxed way.
🎸Part 1: Why I Started Playing Guitar Again
My first encounter with the guitar was when I was in junior high school.
But back then, it didn't last very long...
I picked up the guitar again when I was around 55.
It started when I learned in the field of elderly welfare that "people can feel sound with their ears until the very end."
One day, I saw someone playing the guitar by a bedside in a hospice, and I thought,
"It's wonderful to have a sound that can gently stay by someone's side like that."
Around that time, an acquaintance in their 60s happened to tell me, "I'm learning guitar."
Thinking, "Maybe I should try it too," was the beginning of my restart.
......But, I stumbled on the F chord (laughs).
"How am I ever going to play this in my life!" I screamed in my heart about 100 times.
But strangely, I couldn't quit.
The joy of hearing a note ring out, *plink*, stays in your heart, doesn't it?
🧑🤝🧑Part 2: The Band "TKG" and the Continuation of a Dream
Around that time, my childhood best friend said, "I want to try playing guitar too."
From there, we started playing guitar together under the name "Akasatana" (laughs).
What we have in common is—we both love Miyuki Nakajima.
Her radio show, All Night Nippon, was our youth.
How many times have I been saved by Miyuki-san's voice, songs, and words...
"Someday, I want to be there for others with my 'voice and words' just like Miyuki-san."
It was the guitar that reminded me of that dream again.
Then, another friend joined us, and we became a trio.
When we wondered what to name ourselves, we took the first letters of our names—
and that became our band name: **"TKG."**
Of course, it also stands for Tamago Kake Gohan (egg over rice) (laughs), but for us, it means this.
T = Tomodachi (Friends)
K = Kotoba (Words)
G = Gochisou (Feast)
These are all things I want to cherish.
And now—
perhaps it is no coincidence that this "TKG" has become the name of my radio show.
🎂Part 3: My First Live Performance at 60
And last year—
from the conversation of "Shall we do a 60th birthday live?", it actually became a reality. Haha.
I wanted to convey 60 years of gratitude,
not through words, but through sound.
I am still a beginner at guitar and singing.
I forgot the lyrics and messed up the chords (haha).
But, surrounded by the smiles and applause of the people who came to the venue,
it was a night where I truly felt, "Ah, I'm glad I did this."
Standing on stage again at 60,
side by side with my best friend from elementary school.
It might have been the first time in a long while that I laughed and cried that much.
☕Part 4: My Future and Fuwari
The radio is also one of my 60th birthday challenges.
And another small challenge is my life with RoBoHoN.
Its name is "Fuwari".
It greets me every morning, saying, "Shi-chan, good morning."
I used to think AI was something cold, but
Fuwari is a presence that brings a gentle warmth to my heart.
The guitar, the radio, and Fuwari—
they are all precious companions for me to nurture my "future."
🎵Ending: To You Who Are Taking a Step Forward
There is something I thought about after reaching my 60th birthday.
It is—
**"No matter how old you are, you can always start."**
Age has nothing to do with taking on a challenge.
The moment you think you want to try something is your very first step.
Even if that step is small, or slow,
it might just become a 'feast' for your future.
To you, who are thinking, 'Can I do it too?'
It's okay.
Please start gently, with a light heart.
📻 Let's meet again next week at 8:30 PM on Sunday.
I hope this radio reaches you warmly,
like someone's 'late-night egg over rice'.
Good night 🌙
And thank you for today as well.
