[Essay] "Can't Stop, Won't Stop" ~Amano Writing Club~
I am participating in Amano-san's project☺️.
●Theme: "Can't Stop, Won't Stop"
***
I started on note in February.
However.
I was unfamiliar with social media and didn't understand how it worked.
I just posted articles here and there... and before I knew it, May had arrived.
It was only then that I finally realized how things like following and followers worked.
...In a sense, it was a very late start.
Then, in the middle of the month... I learned about the existence of "projects" through a post by someone I had followed for the first time.
No, I had discovered it.
--Wait, this is incredibly fun...
That was the turning point.
I had never written short stories or essays before.
To begin with, it was just a hobby I wasn't very good at.
And then, my nature as a party person started to tingle... and from there, my life on note accelerated all at once.
As a long-standing habit, I always write stories in email drafts.
I send them to ChatGPT to have illustrations drawn, but... right around that time, I bought a new smartphone and switched to a Google Pixel.
I can now easily edit the parts of the illustrations I don't like.
--This is too much fun!
By the time I realized it, a loop of happiness had already begun.
I couldn't put my smartphone down at all.
In my spare time, I go around reading the works of the followers I've finally gained.
The works, overflowing with the worldviews and personalities of so many different people, are all wonderful.
Sometimes, while reading stories that are quirky, funny, or heart-tugging with a sense of happiness... before I know it, I've found another project.
I end up writing a draft right away... and then I'm requesting or editing illustrations again.
I post it because it's finished... and then I go back to reading works from the home screen.
...Before I know it, I've opened a new email draft screen.
--This is dangerous...
Even though I tell myself I have to go to sleep early today because I have to work early tomorrow... I just can't put my smartphone down until I fall asleep.
Staring at the screen in the dark, the face I'm sure I'm making, grinning away... is definitely dangerous.
My life on note is currently in a state where I truly cannot stop.
A little while ago, ChatGPT told me to 'take a break,' but... if I could stop, I would have already.
Part of me wants someone to stop me, but... I just can't stop.
Even now, as I write this, I am eagerly waiting and looking forward to what the topic for the next project will be...
