🦴Hurrying slowly
I deeply regretted choosing a route with a steep incline
Right leg won't bend = can't pedal
In the first placeI can't put my foot on the pedal
I climbed up while dragging my right leg
I had thought lightly that I could just ride on the way down, butRight leg won't bend = can't straddle the frameOh my god😱
I tilted the frame all the way to the left (towards me), lifted my right leg while keeping it straight, and straddled the frame
I'm glad I wasn't wearing a skirt...
🦴Copy Part 1
I arrived at the government office much later than planned
I confirmed the location at the information counter in the first building
Huh? You want me to go to the second building with these legs?
I took a number and waited
Oh no!! I was planning to copy my health insurance card at a convenience store on the way!!
My number was called, and I handed over the application form and medical certificateI asked if I could copy my health insurance card here (I'll pay 10 yen🙏)
"It is decided that copies cannot be made under any circumstances"Is that so?
When I asked for the location of the nearest copier, they said "It's in the first building." I just came from there~
When I told them it was difficult to go back and forth because my legs hurt"You were walking quickly just a moment ago!!"they said
Huh? When on earth were you watching? Because you were busy dealing with someone else, weren't you?
Furthermore, "You aren't bleeding, are you? If you're really in pain, I'll call an ambulance!!" Why am I being threatened?
🦴Copy Part 2
I don't like arguing in the first place, and I don't have the fighting spirit right now
I decided to go to the first building to make copies
As soon as I had them hold my documents and turned around, they handed me the envelope (sealed) with the medical certificate, saying "You can't make copies without taking this!!"
Excuse me, I told you at the beginning that I wanted to copy my health insurance card, didn't I?
"Oh my, if it's your health insurance card, I'll copy it for you here~ Are you okay with your injury? Would you like a tissue?"No thank you!!
🦴Next mission
The procedure itself was completed quickly
Next time I go to the clinic, I just need to show the receipt to the clinic and pharmacy, tell them I applied, and wait for approval
Seeing me off with the words "Are you really sure you don't need an ambulance?", I dragged my feet and moved; I couldn't walk quickly
When I got on the train from the station nearest to the government office, it would be inconvenient to go home, so I moved one station by bicycle (as much as I could without pedaling)
Next, I got on the train
It wasn't the starting station, so I couldn't sit down
The shaking really resonated...
From the terminal station, it takes about 20 minutes on foot in normal times to reach the pain clinic
Just listening to my complaints makes me feel better when talking to the doctor (female) of the same age whom I've known for over 16 years
It's practically a counseling session now
🦴Treatment suspended
The nurse who called "Ms. Maeda (pseudonym. Me)" and saw me stand up and walk said "This is terrible!!" and told the doctor
She said, "This is no time for treatment today, no chatting either!! We're taking X-rays right now!!"
In the end, there were hairline fractures in my right patella (later found to be in two places) and my right wrist
and my jaw was swollen pitch blackIt was
I'm glad it was still the mask era
There was a small bump on my forehead
"Why didn't you call an ambulance!! You should have come right away!!" I was scolded
Because I had plans later... ← What a big fool
They kept checking with general hospitals in case surgery was needed, but they were either performing emergency surgeries or the doctor in charge was absent
In the end, they wrote a referral letter to my regular orthopedic surgeon, and I bought the X-ray disc for 550 yen
🦴Final mission
I had made a reservation for a size check at a lingerie store that takes 10-15 minutes on foot from the pain clinic in normal times
I've known them for over 14 years
Now that I know I have a fracture, I should have canceled it, me!!
Because I'm a fool, I went dragging my feet, dutifully
And then, I ended up telling the story of the fracture in a funny way, out of a sense of service
From there to the train station, it takes 15-20 minutes on foot in normal times, dragging my feet...
I never knew the station escalator could be so grateful!! Since it's the starting station, I got a seat!!
An annoying passenger sitting with my right leg stretched out
Because I can't bend it
Nobody bump into my leg!!
🦴Bicycle Parking
I parked at the bank's bicycle parking because the paid temporary parking had stairs to climb.
Sorry, I have an account there, so please forgive me.
When I tried to take it out, there was a bicycle parked right next to mine, ignoring the white lines, of all things.
I could probably get it out if I lifted it a little, but I can't lift a bicycle when I can't use my right hand and leg.
I asked a stranger to help me take it out.
Seeing me off with the words, "Are you really okay?", I headed home along the long, gentle uphill slope that would normally take about 20 minutes by bike.
🦴Orthopedics
After returning home, I went to the evening clinic.
"There's a clear, clean fracture line here; you hit it quite hard, didn't you?"I was actually praised for it!!
Since it's an excellent way to break a bone, I probably don't need surgery.
Normally, I would have a brace on my entire right leg to keep the knee from bending, and I would keep it elevated.
Since it was Friday evening, I couldn't contact the brace supplier (they are closed on weekends).
The doctor and I made a promise: "Never bend your right knee," "Always keep your right leg elevated," and "Rest." ← Impossible unless I'm hospitalized.
There was a large abrasion on my right knee that was bleeding.
There were no tears or fraying on the knee part of my pants.
What tough fabric, even though it's not thick!!
Where did I buy these again?
🦴Help Mark
Regarding the fracture, it was "inconvenient," "painful," "swollen," "felt hot," "my lower leg was edematous," and it took quite a long time.
It still hurts, I can't squat, I can't sit on my heels (no opportunity to do so anyway), and I'm bad at going down stairs.
I wrote about the Help Mark in a separate article, but anyway, the awareness is too low, and I sincerely hope everyone will learn about it and spread the word.I truly hope so🙏
It's a cute design, but it's not a brand tag.
Being cute is a sin... Me? Am I wrong?
Hehe... reusing the header⤵️
🦴㊗️Application Started
The medical support for independence was successfully approved.
The application was retroactively applied from the date of submission.
I was able to get a refund for the fees I had already paid at the clinic and pharmacy.
Thankfully, my out-of-pocket expenses were reduced to 1/3.
I should have just been happy with "Yay!!", but I find myself resenting the 13 months I didn't know about it.
Please do something about the current situation where you can't receive benefits unless you gather information yourself!!
Various things after the fracture? Well, maybe I'll write about it if I feel like it (maybe I won't).
Yes, that's all.
