July 4, 2024: Milky Way in Rain （雨の天の川）

It has been raining so much lately, which has made me feel a bit under the weather. In the last couple of years, the weather tends to affect me more than it used to. But the weather does not only affect me. It seems to affect the universe as well.
It is now time for the Weaver and the Herdsman to meet at the Milky Way for the first time in a year. But it is rumoured that they may be forced to cancel the reunion. It is said that the Milky Way has been faced with terrible weather this year and is in a dire situation. The Milky Way has a magical power and has used it to keep a lot of asteroids in balance. However, it seems to have started losing its power. These days, it has been struggling to keep the asteroids in balance. Some of them have ignored the Milky Way system and have moved as they like. Sometimes, they collide with each other, damaging themselves and changing the balance of the system. As a result, the Milky Way is now in confusion and lost its balance.
So, it cannot see an orderly line of the asteroids. The line, which is called ‘Amanoawa’ in Japan, has been very popular for those on the Earth. But this year, it is out of shape and is now so miserable that it is painful to see.
It is also said that the confusion in the Milky Way has caused serious problems for the Earth. The small asteroids are said to get out of the system and have been falling into the Earth. Sometimes, they, as metors, have fallen into the Earth. But most of them have changed into rain on their way to the Earth and have given a lot of rain to the Earth. So, the rain is not what it used to be. It is very heavy and only falls in a local area. It may be what is called a linear rainfall zone.
In these circumstances, the Weaver and the Herdsman cannot meet at the Milky Way.

　このところ雨が多くて、体調が良くないです。ここ数年、天候の影響を受けることが多くなりました。でも、影響を受けているのはぼくだけではないようです。宇宙も影響を受けているようです。
　織姫と彦星が1年ぶりに「天の川」で出会う時が来ました。でも、2人は再会をを断念せざるを得ないかもしれないという噂があります。今年の銀河系はひどい天候に見舞われ、悲惨な状況にあるらしいです。銀河系には魔力があり、それを使って多くの小惑星のバランスを保ってきました。でも、その力が薄れ始めているようです。最近では、小惑星のバランスを保つのに苦労しているようです。中には銀河系の体系を無視して好き勝手に動いているものもいます。時には衝突して自らを傷つけ、銀河系の体系を崩すこともあります。その結果、銀河系に混乱を来し、バランスが崩れたのです。
　そのため、小惑星の整然とした列を見ることができません。日本では「天の川」と呼ばれるこの列は、地球の人たちにとても人気がありました。でも、今年はその形が崩れ、見るに堪えないほど悲惨な状態のようです。
　また、銀河系の混乱が地球に深刻な問題を引き起こしているとも言われています。小惑星が体系を外れて地球に落ちていっているそうです。流れ星となって地球に落ちてくることもありますが、そのほとんどは地球に到達する途中で雨に変わり、地球に多くの雨を降らせているようです。おかげで、雨は以前とはまったく違います。非常に激しく、局所的に降ります。いわゆる線状降水帯です。
　このような状況では、織姫と彦星が天の川で出会えるはずがありません。
