Riding the Anpanman Train...

Last night, when going from Okayama to Marugame,
transferring between two trains was a hassle...
or rather, I definitely wanted a seat,
so I decided to travel using a limited express train 🙌

It was a train at a good time...
I didn't even choose my seat and just booked it as assigned ♪

Next to the train name,
it just said Anpanman,
so I realized, 'Oh, it's an Anpanman train'...

Since the author's hometown is Kochi Prefecture,
some trains bound for Kochi are Anpanman trains,
and I had ridden one before, so it clicked 😙

Even so,
it didn't hinder my travel at all,
and after checking my seat number and heading to the car...

W-what is this? 😓
I've seen the exterior be Anpanman-themed,
but even the inside...?

The Green Car and other cars
had regular seats,
so it seems it was only some seats in Car 1.

There are only 24 Anpanman seats,
and since it says to request them if you want one,
I imagine many people book them intentionally.

The reason I was able to book it with an assigned seat this time
might be because there are quite a few people
who book specifically to avoid the Anpanman seats 🙄

The price is the same and it's comfortable, but
it's also a little embarrassing 😁

The interior was overflowing
with Anpanman and his friends 😄

And for the departure announcements,
while there were standard train and station announcements,
it started with the Anpanman March,
and it started speaking in Anpanman's voice...

It's thoroughly Anpanman,
so if you like Anpanman,
it must be an irresistible space and time ✨

It's a little embarrassing when you end up sitting there without aiming for it
just a little💨

The entire exterior of the train is covered in
Anpanman and his friends,
with Dokin-chan on car 2
and Baikinman prominently featured on car 3...

The Anpanman train I rode this time was red,
and it seems there is another one with a yellow base,
though the interior is said to be the same for both.

It was such a comfortable trip that
I wanted to stay on for a while longer,
but as expected of a limited express🚞, I arrived at my destination in about 40 minutes.
(If I had taken a local train, it would have taken over an hour...)

It was the last train, so if I had fallen asleep, that would have been it,
but I managed to get off safely at my destination, Marugame♪
