Bride's Letter
I would like to keep a record of the letter I read at my wedding.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I would like to take this opportunity to read a letter to my parents.
Dad, Mom, thank you for raising me with such care for the past 26 years.
I feel like I started talking to Dad more one-on-one around the time I was in high school. When I was struggling with my career path, you told me on the balcony, 'You should do whatever you want to do. I will help you with anything to make that happen.' I still remember that clearly. You might not remember it, but I was truly happy to hear you say that, and I think it was one of the reasons I decided to go to Tokyo. You are always doing silly things and getting scolded by Mom, but the way you work until you are worn out for the sake of our family is truly cool, and I respect you for it. You are the father I am proud of, and I love you very much. Please continue to be a healthy and fun dad.
I think Mom and I clashed a lot when we lived together. Back then, I didn't even know what I wanted to do or what I wanted from you, and I think I was probably the most difficult of the three siblings for you to deal with during that time. Even so, thank you so much for continuing to face me with deep love and for remaining my number one ally. I believe the reason we siblings love our family so much is because you raised us by pouring out more than enough love.
Looking back, I know for sure that I was able to get into xxx University because of you, Mom, from taking me to open campus events to pushing me forward when I was hesitant about applying to my designated school. And because I was able to get into xxx University, I am here today. I am truly grateful. Thank you.
Between my unconventional older brother and my tomboy younger sister, I honestly felt envious of the two of them being so free, but that is exactly why I have the happiness I have now, and I am very satisfied with who I am today. It is all thanks to the money, time, and abundant love that Dad and Mom gave me without reservation.
I am truly happy to be a member of such a fun family. I have always loved you, and I always will.
As Dad and Mom know, xxx (husband) is kind, and above all, he is the person I feel most comfortable with.
We were living together even before we registered our marriage, so I didn't think life would change much, but life after marriage is actually a little different, and I truly feel glad that we got married.
Thank you for supporting our life together. I look forward to our future.
Lastly, to xxx's father, mother, and all of your family, thank you for warmly welcoming me and treating me so well.
I am sure I will continue to rely on you a lot, but I look forward to your continued support.
I am truly happy to have reached this day and to have everyone celebrate with us. I hope you will continue to watch over us for a long time to come.
I thought I would be crying while reading it on the day, but I actually cried more when I was writing it alone at home. lol
Maybe I practiced too much.
