Building Infrastructure for Turning Points

We aim to make
taking a career break,
a time to pause work and
re-examine oneself and society,
a cultural norm.

Having said that,
if you don't want to
take a career break,
I don't think you have to.

There is no need to force it.

Just because you know about career breaks,

there is no need to feel like you must
turn your time away from work into a great turning point.

So, if you ask what I want to do,
I think I want to build "infrastructure for turning points."

Regardless of your environment or abilities,
when you live for 100 years,
things don't always go well,
and unexpected events occur.

Burnout from working too hard,
starting to care for a family member,
discovering an illness of your own,
feeling trapped with a narrow perspective,
having a dream left unfulfilled,
wanting to travel or move.

When such a turning point arrives,
sometimes you can overcome it on your own,
and sometimes you just endure and get through it.

However, facing a turning point
often tends to be done in one's own way.

When a turning point comes that you cannot handle alone,
I want to be an option
that you can suddenly remember.

And at that time,
when you search for "career break,"
you might find episodes from various people,
learn how to spend your turning point,
or meet peers who are going through similar turning points.

I want to be that kind of infrastructure for turning points.

And,
for as many people as possible,
for as many turning points as possible,
if a good turning point is born,
there is nothing that would make me happier.

You don't have to think of it
as a good turning point right away.

Until the day you can eventually think so.

I aim to be the kind of infrastructure
that gently watches over you.
