Drunken Travel Weather ~Bolivia~ Vol. 2.5 Uyuni

This time it is Vol. 2.5.
What that means is, at the Uyuni Salt Flats, you can enjoy not only the blue sky during the day but also the starry sky and the sunrise. However, since this time is so voluminous with photos and would make the post too long, I am presenting it as 2.5, between the second and third days.

Well, the previous day, after the spa, we ended up enjoying a bar🍸 and playing billiards🎱 at the hotel, so I think it was around midnight when we returned to our room💤

To begin with, at this point, 2 to 3 days had passed since leaving Japan, and this was the first bed I could lie down on, but I couldn't just rest here🛏️

In order to see the beautiful starry sky of the Uyuni Salt Flats, we had to depart around 3:00 AM before the sky brightened with the sunrise🌌

Actually, I visited the Uyuni Salt Flats two years ago, but at that time, the tour company canceled on us at the last minute, so I couldn't see the starry sky or the sunrise.
Seeking revenge, we departed around 3:00 AM.

It takes about 30 minutes by car from the Luna Salada hotel where we stayed to the Uyuni Salt Flats, and another 20 minutes to reach the area where the water has collected, but I feel like I was half-asleep in the car💤

However, once we entered the salt flats, I was simply swallowed by the scenery.

Because the Uyuni Salt Flats are an area five times the size of Tokyo with nothing in them, the only light around is moonlight. (Occasionally car lights too)
This breathtaking environment cannot be described in photos.

As my eyes got used to the darkness, it was a sky full of stars🌌
The Milky Way was visible to the naked eye, and there were just too many stars to count.

Those with good eyesight were able to observe many shooting stars as well.

The tour staff were enthusiastic and took trick photos for us📷
This shooting was quite difficult in the cold, and we were just told, "Don't move, don't move," and were photographed without even knowing what was happening.

And here is what was created!

Wow, as expected of a pro!!!

This shooting takes about 30 seconds per shot, and since you can't move, it takes quite a bit of physical strength.

The number of shots kept increasing with the feeling of "this is the last one, this is the last one," so the participants were exhausted, but when we were shown these photos later, the fatigue was worth it.

They were doing something behind us during the shoot, but I never imagined it would turn into such a wonderful piece of work...
The trick photography also became a very good memory.

After the trick photos, we each walked around the salt flats freely while waiting for the sunrise, or had a photo session.

Even though we were shooting in the same place, the movement of the stars and the feeling of the sky gradually turning white and changing was wonderful.

As sunrise approaches, the horizon becomes beautiful in its own way🌅

This is also a beautiful time at dawn;
everything you photograph looks like a picture.

Even intentionally blurry photos have a sense of fiction that is charming📷

Even a backpack looks very picturesque, like the attire of a traveler🎒

You can look like a giant using perspective,

or have a monster battle break out,

and while playing as we pleased, it became daybreak.

Since it has become dawn, I will adjust the shutter speed a little and enjoy shooting by lowering the brightness📷

When you go to visit Uyuni, it might be fun to bring various outfits.

Depending on the tour company, they might even lend you bicycles🚲

While playing around like that, it is finally time for sunrise🌅

The twilight at an altitude of 4000m was truly magnificent and beautiful.

It reminded me of the magnificent sunrise I saw in the middle of the desert at Uluru (Ayers Rock).

Natural phenomena seen in such remote lands on a trip make you feel the vastness and greatness of the Earth, so I want to experience them periodically🌏

Well, as the sky gets brighter, this is also a beautiful golden hour.

Quite different from just a moment ago, the bright scenery is becoming beautiful.

Even unedited photos look like they were taken in a studio!!

Even though they are straight out of the camera, the scenery is so beautifully surreal that it feels like a composite image.

The group photo also turned out to be a wonderful shot 📷

I also did some of those common time-lapse shots 🎥

The scenery itself is also just very beautiful.

Enjoyed the Uyuni Salt Flats to the fullest until about 7:00 AM.

Back to the hotel for breakfast time 🥞

I wonder if having cactus fruit and coca tea is unique to Bolivia 🌵🧉

Located on the edge of the Uyuni Salt Flats, it was a beautiful location where you could enjoy the horizon and the salt flats even from the restaurant 🏜️

Since I checked in at night the day before, I couldn't see it properly, but the salt hotel made of salt had a great atmosphere and was a lovely hotel.

Since this is 2.5, it's only about 9:00 AM at this point, but we'll end it here for now.

After this, we will check out of the hotel and head by land to Potosi and Camargo.
