[Infinite Renku] Volume 14

(Since the number of comments on Volume 13 exceeded 100, I am reposting Volume 14 as a new article.) We are currently holding an


Infinite Renku that anyone can join at any time, whether just once or many times. Please take a look at the simple rules below and feel free to participate!

[Basic Rules of Renku]

Long verse (17 syllables in a 5-7-5 pattern) and short verse (14 syllables in a 7-7 pattern) are composed alternately to link them together.

Person A: 5-7-5 Person B: 7-7 Person C: 5-7-5 Person D: 7-7

Continue in this manner.Linking to the previous person's verse is called

tsukeru
, and the verse added is called a |Tsukeku (linked verse). Person B

should add a 7-7 verse so that A+B forms a single tanka (5-7-5-7-7). Person C

should add a 5-7-5 verse so that C+B forms a single tanka (5-7-5-7-7). Person D

should add a 7-7 verse so that C+D forms... and so on.

In traditional Renku, there is a rule to change the content between A+B and C+B, but in this Infinite Renku, we want you to enjoy it casually, so there are no such restrictions. You may use similar content or even the same words as many times as you like. The order is not fixed, so anyone can add a verse at any time.

Seasonal words (kigo) are optional.

Non-followers are welcome, anyone can join freely. (No greeting required. Of course, it's fine if you do.)

Consecutive posts are okay. (
Person A can add to Person A's own verse.)

If long or short verses overlap due to simultaneous posting, there is no need to delete them.

If they overlap, the next person should choose from: 1. Link to the earlier verse, 2. Link to whichever you prefer, 3. Link a verse broad enough to fit both.

I will not comment on the linked verses.
