Self-Introduction: From Separation, Divorce, and Adjustment Disorder to Enjoying Life with My Child
Nice to meet you, I'm Emi.
I am a single mother living with my 5-year-old child.
Three years ago, my husband told me, "I only want to focus on my work. I don't want to raise children anymore," and our sudden separation began.
At the time, I felt crushed by the anxiety and loneliness of an uncertain future, was diagnosed with adjustment disorder, and had to take a year off from work.
"If I separate or get a divorce, won't I ever be happy again?"
"I feel so sorry for my child. What should I do from now on?"
There were times when I kept worrying like that and felt like my heart was going to break.
But I wanted to take my life back.
Thinking that, I made the positive decision to choose divorce.
And now, I am enjoying my life much more than before.
Because I suffered, I have come to truly believe that "you can definitely take back a life that is true to yourself."
In this note, based on my own experiences,
"How you can still be happy after separation or divorce, depending on yourself"
is what I will write about in real, honest words.
I hope this can be a catalyst to make someone's heart feel even a little lighter.
