Suchwita Ep 27 (2) Lee Jong's best friend, Yoongi
Continuing my thoughts on Suchwita Ep. 27.
I wanted to write this on March 9th if possible, but
it started to feel a bit awkward, so I'm a day late.
Suchwita's host Yoongi is an amazing person, but
from his conversation with his soulmate Lee Jong,
here are a few episodes that captured my heart.
First, his perspective as a music producer is incredible.
The song that led Lee Jong to become the producer El Capitxn was "Ddaeng."
Who would have thought it started from a card game he brought when he went to America?

He turns even the smallest moments of daily life into music.
And then there's "Daechwita."
It is music from the Joseon Dynasty played when the King appears,
and it is also the opening theme for Suchwita.

Since the source material is traditional Korean music,
naturally, there isn't a hint of catchiness or headbanging elements.
If done poorly, wouldn't it just become a comedy song?
Even when sent the original song and told, "I'm going to make a song out of this!"
Lee Jong was also like, "??" and "What is Yoongi planning?"
They had a camp at Yoongi's house, worked on it, and finished it in a week.

"Daechwita" became a song that serves as a business card for Agust D,
and it became "a mountain I'm proud of, but also one I want to surpass."
Another thing is his incredible sense of timing and pacing.
The offer of support to Lee Jong, who could no longer sing,
which (presumably) made every Yoongi fan cry their eyes out.
"Let's get your throat treated; you can pay me back slowly later."
Things that even family members might find hard to say,
he just tosses out casually while driving the car.
When you're in the depths of despair, it feels like no words of comfort can reach you,
but sometimes, there is a moment when words sink in honestly and smoothly.
The moment he tossed those words out must have been that perfect timing.
Even if his throat didn't heal, Lee Jong's heart must have been significantly healed.
He senses what the other person wants and needs,
and he knows exactly when the moment is to capture their heart.
Like telling Jimin, who was worried about not being able to sing like Jungkook,
"Your voice is really good."

The "7" tattoo that he wouldn't tell anyone about no matter how much they asked,
he just casually revealed it at the tour finale...

Lee Jong spoke for the feelings of Yoongi fans the whole time. He's a handsome person inside, too.
The autograph time, the commemorative photo, the ending talk.
I thought it would end casually as usual, but the lights went out.
Suchwita is ending its Season 1 run with this episode.
While saying he didn't want to do a formal farewell,
"Please wait a little longer," "One day when you wake up, the seven of us will be dancing."
This development reminds me of when the last song of the tour finale ended.
He usually ends things casually without a "bye-bye" type of greeting,
but he is a person of integrity who properly says goodbye when it's time to mark a milestone.
And he is someone who adds reassuring words, leaving you with a lingering feeling that is sad but refreshing.
These are the kinds of things that capture my heart.
"D-Day" is the period at the end of the first chapter of Agust D's activities,
and "Suchwita" is the period at the end of Min Yoongi's first chapter.
A period means a break, not an end; I hope that's the case.
There is one thing: Suchwita continued to be broadcast at the same pace as before even after military service began.
I can't help but wish they would broadcast it at a slower pace...
But this is surely calculated, too. And based on extremely meticulous calculations at that.
But...

The show started as a place for members to promote their solo activities.
When is Suchwita needed? Right now!
Wait, come to think of it, they didn't say Season 2 would be after 2025.
(Though it hasn't been explicitly stated that there will be a Season 2 either)
If there are any unreleased episodes left, like behind-the-scenes of 'hope on the street' or
the secret story behind the creation of 'FRI(END)S'...
