Yoshizawa of the World
A little while ago, when I saw Ryo Yoshizawa in Kingdom, his features were so beautiful that I thought,
it would be great if he became even more successful and appeared in overseas films.
I felt it was a waste that when he is filmed in Japan, he is always captured in the same typical 'handsome guy' way.
With this latest work, I'm sure many offers from abroad will come his way. The real challenge starts now. He should just keep taking on roles, no matter what they are.
Miho Nakayama, who passed away recently, had been a beautiful person for a long time, but
when I saw the footage for Sayonara Itsuka, I was surprised at how incredibly beautifully she was filmed. The heavy makeup suited her so well! Even the slightly risqué scenes were beautiful. I understood why when I heard it was filmed by an overseas director.
Perhaps from a Japanese perspective, we might be viewing her through a filter of her being a top idol.
I also felt from interviews and such that Ryo Yoshizawa had some concerns about his own beautiful appearance, but
from now on, I want him to show us many different faces. Difficult roles will likely come his way, but he might even have the potential to become the Ohtani of the acting world. In any case, English is a must, though.
As is being talked about, after seeing the trailer for the movie Kokuhou, I also remembered Leslie Cheung. But he doesn't need to become like him.
He will surely become Ryo Yoshizawa of the world.
