3 Steps to Reset 'Days When You Don't Feel Motivated' with AI
Today, I just can't seem to get moving.
I know what I need to do.
I even have a task list clearly in my head.
But my body won't move.
Don't you have days like that?
I do.
And quite often, actually.
In the past, on days like that, I would conclude,
'I just have a weak will.'
But now, it's a little different.
A day when you don't feel motivated is not a 'broken day',
but a 'day that is out of alignment'.
And AI is very well-suited
for getting things back in alignment.
Today, I will talk about 3 steps to
quietly reset a day when you don't feel motivated.
Step 1: First, put your 'emotions' into words
The true nature of a day when you don't feel motivated is
usually a 'traffic jam of emotions'.
・I'm tired
・I'm impatient
・I'm anxious
・There's too much to do
・I don't know where to start
But we tend to
lump it all together and
'I have no motivation'
label it as that.
This is where AI comes in.
For example, you can ask it like this:
'I don't feel motivated today.
What could be happening?
Please break down my emotions.'
Then, the AI will
suggest a few candidates for your emotions.
Just by looking at that,
and choosing one by saying,
'Ah, maybe this one.'
Strangely enough,
emotions feel a bit lighter
just by being put into words.
AI is less of an encouraging presence
and more like a 'mirror.'
It is a tool that
reflects your current state.
Step 2: Determine the 'smallest unit'
On days when you don't feel motivated,
the worst thing you can do
is try to 'do everything.'
When the brain sees a large task,
it enters defense mode.
Use AI here as well.
For example, use a prompt like this:
'My concentration is low today.
Please break this task down into the 'smallest units.'
Then,
・Open the file
・Write only the headings
・Work on it for just 10 minutes
and other small units will appear.
The point is
not to 'do it perfectly,'
but to make it a 'size you can start with.'
Motivation does not come before action.
It comes a little bit after you start acting.
So first of all,
"Start small."
AI is the breakdown specialist.
We are the execution specialists.
That is enough.
Step 3: 'Amplify' the experience of completion
On days when you lack motivation,
your self-esteem is also low.
That is precisely why,
you should properly acknowledge small completions.
Here, you ask it like this:
"I was able to do this much today.
What were the good points?"
AI will verbalize it specifically for you.
・That you actually started
・That you didn't give up halfway
・That you were able to grasp your own state
We tend to
underestimate our own efforts.
By having AI verbalize them,
a sense of accomplishment is 'visualized'.
Rather than motivation,
a 'recovery' occurs.
Motivation is not something you 'generate'
I used to
try to generate motivation.
But now it is different.
Motivation is
not something you generate, but
something that naturally returns when you are in balance.
AI is not a machine that creates motivation.
Organize your thoughts,
verbalize your emotions,
and make your actions small.
It is a 'tuning device'.
On days when you don't feel motivated,
it's okay to use AI.
In fact, those are the days
I want you to use it.
If you can't move today,
you don't have to do everything.
・Break down your emotions
・Decide on the smallest unit
・Pick up what you've accomplished
These three things are enough.
A day without motivation
does not mean you are weak.
It's just a day where things are a little congested.
AI is the traffic controller for that.
Quietly tune yourself,
and just move forward a little bit again.
Cafe Ai
is quietly open on such days, too.
