What’s Happening?
Kay, originally from England and Hong Kong and now based in Tokyo as a freelance concept artist, will be sharing a talk on:
“Fear and Beauty — Finding Your Long Forgotten Artistic Soul”
Why do we, as artists, sometimes feel fear when approaching the canvas or sketchbook, even though art is meant to be a free and joyful act?
How can we create from a place of honesty, without being weighed down by judgement or expectation?
Drawing from psychology, human history, and her own experiences, Kay will guide us through reframing our relationship with creativity, so that we can reconnect with the soul of our art.
Extra Special: Art Feedback Opportunity
This is completely optional, but if you’d like, you are welcome to bring along one artwork of your own. Kay will offer light feedback during the session!
After the Talk
We’ll open up the space for a casual art meet-up.
Enjoy some light snacks, chat with Kay, and connect with other creatives in the community.
It’s the perfect chance to exchange ideas, make new friends, and feel inspired by the Brushbunni community spirit!
