Recap of Previous BRUSHBUNNI FESTA! Events

FESTA! #1 – A Creative Beginning
Our very first BRUSHBUNNI FESTA! was held in April last year in Harajuku. It was a relaxed, open evening where artists and art lovers could meet, chat, and share their work. The gallery featured 33 international artists, and we welcomed talks from professionals in 3DCG and concept art, including ETO Group and Natasha Tan. Portfolio reviews by WACHAJACK’s Fujihiko Sawai were also a huge hit. It was a warm and inspiring night filled with art, snacks, and great conversation.

FESTA! #2 – Summer of Character Design
The second FESTA! was all about character design. Held once again in Harajuku, this summer event was bursting with color and energy. The gallery showcased a wide range of character illustrations by BrushBunni members. Special guest ENTEI RYU gave an inspiring talk on 3D character building in partnership with PIE International. She also introduced her new art book, which quickly became a favorite among attendees.

FESTA! #3 – Comics, Culture, and Creative Exchange
Our third event was a collaboration with the French comic bookstore Maison Petit Renard, exploring the theme of comics and cross-cultural creativity. Comic artist Sakamoto Kenshiro shared his experience working in both the French and Japanese industries, offering rare insights during an interview session. A comic-themed gallery, cozy atmosphere, and delicious rice balls from Musubitei made it a truly unique and memorable night.

Looking Ahead

BRUSHBUNNI FESTA! has become a cherished space for connection, creativity, and artistic growth. Each event brings new inspiration and strengthens our community. I’m so excited for what’s to come and can’t wait to share more with you soon.

Thanks for reading — and I hope to see many of you at FESTA! #4 . Stay tuned for next week’s post, where I’ll dive deeper into the upcoming event in July!
