[Mario Kart World] How to Free Run in Split-Screen
The new Mario Kart World for Switch 2 has changed its map from the traditional race format to an open-world format.
You want to play free run on this map together with your family, children, or friends, right? There is no option for this on the menu screen, and playing free run in 2-player split-screen requires a few steps.
The method is explained below.
How to do it
1: Select 2 players in Local Communication

2: Set Joy-Cons to 1 and 2

3: Create a group: Yes

4: Select character and kart

With this, you can play free run in 2-player split-screen locally.
A speech bubble appears over the other player's kart, making it easy to see where they are!

If the karts get too far apart, Lakitu will bring you back. It seems to be fine even if you are quite far apart as long as you are within the same race venue.

By the way,
1 Switch 2 console
1 copy of Mario Kart World software
No internet connection required
Only 1 account
is all you need.

Please enjoy Mario Kart World with your family and friends at the end of the year for games like hide-and-seek or tag.
Unfortunately, the P-Switch does not appear while in split-screen ((+_+))
