2025 National Convention for Crime Victims Week

From November 29th to 30th, in conjunction with Crime Victims Week, the crime victim organization network 'heart-band' held their national convention.

Shoko Fukasako, who lost her 29-year-old son and established the NPO 'Coffee aid' to carry on his wishes.
Mr. Tsukagoshi, whose family members were victims of the 'Isesaki drunk driving fatal accident,' losing three precious lives.
Mr. Tamotsu Watanabe, whose daughter was suddenly murdered in the street, and others took the stage to share the raw voices of victims.
The bereaved families of victims had their happy daily lives suddenly stolen from them, and their lives were changed forever.

Since then, as bereaved families of victims, they have been working for those who have been victimized, their families, and other victims and bereaved families of various incidents and accidents.
Furthermore, they mentioned that they continue activities to educate not only victims and their families but also those who are unaware of these accidents and incidents about the 'preciousness of life' and 'safety'.

The daily life we spend as if it were a given is by no means a given. For those whose loved ones have had their lives taken, the daily life that flows by so casually is something they dream of.
No matter how convenient cars or motorcycles may be, they can become weapons if the person driving them does not have a firm sense of awareness and responsibility.
We never know when or who might fall victim to a crime. That is precisely why, by thinking about those who have been victimized and the incidents and accidents themselves, we should reconsider the importance of safety and peace.
