We are a virtual editorial department consisting of members with different backgrounds and generations, ranging from assistant professors at national universities to 21-year-old science and engineering students. Why not unwrap the package of 'common sense' in the world a little and take a look at what's inside with us?

• [Knowing] Bridging science and innovation We pick up small seeds of science that we might otherwise overlook. We lower the hurdle of technical jargon and deliver them as 'trivia' that you'll want to tell someone about.

• [Viewing] Multi-faceted analysis of politics, history, and thought Rather than advocating for a specific opinion, we organize both sides of conflicting viewpoints. Our role is to provide a 'starting point' for deciphering complex social issues.

• [Thinking] Thought experiments from urban legends and delusions We translate seemingly difficult latest technologies and profound ideas into stories that are easy to imagine. We weave narratives to help you grasp 'world movements' that once felt like someone else's business as your own.

■ From the Editorial Desk

We will not provide a single correct answer to the question, 'In the end, how should I think about this?' As the desk, I (Amada) and the record keeper, Tokieda, want to be like a 'light' that illuminates your feet a little when you walk through an opaque world, or 'minutes' you can return to when you are lost.
