[Subconscious] "What you love, you will do well": The power of being truly obsessed from the bottom of your heart
Hello! Do you have something you "love" so much that you lose track of time when you're doing it?
The other day, watching a senior real estate owner, I truly realized the truth of the saying, "What you love, you will do well." That senior even searches for properties while on vacation. Whenever they have a spare moment, they head to the bank, always keeping their antenna up, looking for properties. Rather than "working hard and making an effort," they truly love real estate from the bottom of their heart and are completely obsessed with it.
When we look at our daily lives, this energy of "obsession" is everywhere. For example, my daughter is obsessed with clothes. If she has time, she is always thinking about fashion. And as for me... whenever I have time, I find myself immersed in practicing or learning coaching. I wake up at 4 a.m. to do my yoga and meditation routine, and I spend my days coaching and consulting, but even in the small gaps of time, I find myself excited while learning about brain science or quantum mechanics, or practicing coaching with my peers.
Why do we naturally get better at the things we love?
When you unravel this from the perspective of the subconscious, it makes perfect sense. Humans perform with overwhelming results when their hearts are happy, saying "I want to do this! It's fun!" rather than when they are forcing themselves to work hard with their heads (conscious mind) saying "I have to do this."
The subconscious has a wonderful feature: it focuses on what we feel is "comfortable" or "fun" and automatically gathers information for that purpose 24 hours a day. The reason my senior naturally attracts information about excellent properties even while traveling, and why I can continue to polish my coaching skills as if I were breathing, is because my subconscious recognizes that "this is joy" and is working at full capacity as my ally.
Your "obsession" is a hint to your life's purpose
What you can be obsessed with from the bottom of your heart is never just a hobby or a way to kill time. It is an important "sign" from your subconscious.
What is something you do that makes you lose track of time?
What is something you find yourself researching unconsciously, without anyone asking you to?
Often, your unique talents and your life's mission (destiny) are hidden along the extension of that "love." As adults, we tend to judge things by whether they are "practical" or "profitable," but sometimes, just like my daughter purely enjoys clothes, please try to be honest and follow the voice of your heart that simply says "I love this!"
When you pour your energy into what you are truly obsessed with and make your subconscious your ally, your life will start to move surprisingly smoothly and richly!
