The White Breath Monster Legion #ShirokumaLiteratureClub: Short Story ~I also made a small picture book with Gemini Storybook~
I am participating in Komaki-san's Shirokuma Literature Club's fun project, "White Breath."
The deadline is Wednesday, December 17th, at 23:59.
I wrote a short fiction story.
The White Breath Monster Legion
White breath.
On winter mornings, I loved the days when I could see my breath turn white.
We would always gather in the schoolyard and play by exhaling our breath.
But today is special. Taro came up with an idea.
"Let's transform into monsters with our white breath!"
"Huh? How do we do that?"
"Like this, you blow your breath out with a whoosh and shape it! I'm going to be Godzilla!"
Taro took a deep breath and exhaled it forcefully toward the ground.
The white breath spread out in clouds over the snow and took on a rugged shape.
Something like a tail appeared, and it was twitching!
It looked just like a real monster.
"Wow, that's amazing! I'm going to do it too!"
I copied him.
I took a deep breath and—whoosh! The white breath swirled around me, and huge wings sprouted.
It's a Pteranodon!
When I flapped my wings, my breath turned into wind and sent the snow flying.
"We are the monster legion! Let's go attack the city!"
Jiro and Hanako joined in too.
Jiro transformed into a spiky Ankylosaurus with his breath, and Hanako became a long-necked Mothra.
Everyone's white breath mingled, and by the time we left the school gate, it looked like a super-giant monster parade.
When we arrived in town, it was a huge commotion! The adults were panicking, saying, "What is this fog!?"
Our breath monsters stomped over cars and blew away traffic lights.
Godzilla Taro climbed onto the roof of the shopping arcade and roared, "Grawr!" The breath spread out like an explosion, and even everyone's scarves were dyed white.
"Run away, it's a monster!"
A police officer came running, but when I, Pteranodon, blew my breath from above, his motorcycle was covered in snowballs.
Ankylosaurus Jiro used his tail to launch snowballs, turning the park swings into a monster's nest.
Mothra Hanako exhaled thread-like breath and wrapped it around the streetlights.
The best game ever!
But gradually, it started to get hard to breathe.
My lungs were empty. Godzilla Taro shouted.
"Transformation end!"
We all exhaled one last big breath, and the monsters melted away into clouds.
The town was covered in snow and in total chaos.
Our mothers came flying over and yelled, "What are you doing!" but we couldn't stop laughing.
"Let's do it again tomorrow!"
White breath is our greatest magic.
As long as winter lasts, the monsters will never be defeated!
~ The End ~
I tried turning it into a picture book
I suddenly thought about turning the short story above into a picture book, so I asked Gemini's Storybook to do it.
To my surprise, it made it in just a few minutes.

I'm quite satisfied with the result, and I'm amazed!!
