It's Okay Not to Be Straight: How to Build Self-Esteem by Walking at Your Own Pace Without Pushing Yourself
Life is never a straight line, is it?
The fluctuations of the heart that you can't tell anyone about.
Sometimes, there are days when you can't walk straight.
Even so, I believe.
That those very 'fluctuations' are what actually enrich our daily lives.
In behavioral psychology, 'accepting emotional fluctuations' is considered an important step in increasing self-esteem.
'I feel a bit down today.'
'I've had a string of days where things didn't go well.'
At times like that, you don't have to blame yourself or force yourself to act cheerful.
Try gently telling yourself, 'It's okay to have days like this, too.'
I myself try to take time to quietly care for myself on days when my feelings feel heavy.
Brewing my favorite tea.
Opening the window and letting the breeze sway me.
Even with the smallest things, moving forward little by little at your own pace.
When your heart wavers, it is important to acknowledge, 'It's okay for me to be like this.'
Accepting your whole self.
That becomes a step toward deepening your self-esteem and trust in yourself.
If you feel like you're going to get depressed comparing yourself to others, try comparing yourself only to 'the you of yesterday'.
Something you couldn't do yesterday, you were able to do a little bit today.
Even the slightest progress is a respectable step forward.
Also, accepting emotional fluctuations leads to emotional expression and self-awareness.
'I felt sad today,' 'I felt frustrated.' Let's try writing down those feelings in a notebook or on your smartphone.
By writing them out, it becomes easier to organize your heart and see yourself objectively.
It's okay if you don't force yourself to cheer up.
While surrendering to the waves of emotion, sometimes forgive yourself for being swept away.
Little by little is fine; your own 'stride' is enough.
'It's okay.'
In behavioral psychology, that gentle phrase is also considered to lead to self-acceptance and the creation of positive habits.
You, too, are fine at your own pace.
Let's walk together through the days, moving forward one step at a time, in your own way.
Let's gently open the closed window and welcome the gentle breeze.

Embracing my whole self, no matter the day, no matter the emotion.
I would be happy if we could walk those days together quietly.
