A Must-Read for Solo Female Entrepreneurs! Why Do Highly Responsible People Often Spin Their Wheels? Ep. 9
I am Yoko, your dedicated manager for solo female entrepreneurs.
Thank you so much for finding this article.
Actually, today I submitted my report for the startup subsidy.
I am finally taking a breather and writing this post.
When you are running a business, there are so many times you feel anxious on your own, wondering, 'Is this right?' when dealing with government paperwork and unfamiliar procedures.
Especially for those with a strong sense of responsibility, it is easy to corner yourself by thinking, 'I have to handle everything alone and submit it perfectly.'
That was exactly me in the past.
During my 38 years as a corporate employee, I ran desperately while putting myself last, thinking, 'I must not be a burden to others' and 'I have to do things I'm not good at by myself.'
As a result, my breathing became shallow and my body was screaming for help.
But things are different now.
This time, I went to the Chamber of Commerce for advice before submitting my report.
Asking experts about things I don't understand—it's such a simple thing, but if I had been agonizing over it alone, I might have had to resubmit it multiple times due to errors.
By utilizing the 'outside perspective' of an expert, my mind felt surprisingly clear.
Trying to do everything by yourself isn't the only right answer; honestly asking about what you don't know and completing things smoothly is better.
I have finally come to realize that this, in turn, leads to protecting my own precious time.
Relying on others is never a defeat.
Rather, acknowledging your limits and borrowing someone else's strength is a humble and positive choice to cherish yourself.
If you are currently holding onto something alone and feeling stuck, please try to embrace the idea of relying on someone else, even just a little bit.
You might find a breakthrough closer than you think.
February is coming to an end, and the signs of spring are gradually approaching.
As the weather gets warmer, I sincerely support you in leveraging your strengths so you can enjoy your work more lightly and in a way that is more authentically you.
I'm also talking about this on Stand.fm♪
