Between twilight and dawn
feelings I still cannot tell anyone
softly pretending to be flower petals
are walking along the cobblestones
When I suddenly look back
the me from just a moment ago is standing far away
with a face like someone I can no longer meet
staring at me
The lantern light is the color of hesitation
the shadows in the alley are the 'goodbyes' I couldn't say
only the wind brushing against my sleeves
knows the distance between us
If the scene changes
even though it is under the same cherry blossoms
people whose names I don't even know
laugh together with indifferent faces
The setting sun pretends to be kind
and tries to bring today to an end, but
somewhere in my heart, still unable to make up my mind
only my stride becomes a little more mature
If, just past that corner
I could meet you again
this time, without looking down
I will wave my hand slightly and say 'I am here'
The scattering flowers are not a sign of an end
but a signal to choose again
in the middle of the quiet street
all alone, I finally realize
