For mornings when you don't want to go to work. A gentle morning routine for your sensitive self
When the feeling of not wanting to go to work wells up in the morning, your heart feels restless and overwhelmed.
But what if you could take a little distance from that small anxiety or tension and spend some time being kind to yourself?
I would like to share some morning self-care tips for those moments.
In the past, when I was an office worker, even though I wasn't the one being scolded, I would feel tense when someone nearby spoke in a harsh tone, or feel strangely unsettled every time the sound of heels clicked on the floor.
A sensitive heart that notices subtle sounds and changes in the air can get tired without even realizing it in the midst of such daily life, can't it?
For a restless morning, start with '15 minutes of silence'
The first 15 minutes of the morning are very important for a sensitive heart.
Instead of suddenly checking your smartphone or stuffing your mind with information, wake up slowly.
Take a deep breath while still in bed and gently feel the state of your body and mind.
Please spend your precious quiet morning time slowly and gently, without rushing.
Try deep, slow, abdominal breathing
When you feel anxious or tense, your breathing becomes shallow.
At such times, try straightening your back, placing your hand on your abdomen, and practicing abdominal breathing by inhaling slowly and exhaling slowly.
In just a few minutes, both your mind and body will relax, even if just a little.
As you match your breathing rhythm, your heart will gradually regain its sense of calm.
Bathe in the morning sun to reset your internal clock
Open the curtains and bathe in the soft morning light.
The morning sun has the effect of resetting your internal clock.
Feel a sense of relief spreading through your chest along with the light.
The light turns on a small, gentle switch in your heart.
Engraving a small 'thank you' in your heart
In the relaxed time of the morning, try gifting yourself a feeling of 'thank you' for the day ahead.
You don't have to be perfect; you are fine just as you are.
A small feeling of gratitude will lighten your anxious heart just a little bit.
Summary
Morning anxiety and tension come from the depth of your sensitive nature.
That is precisely why it is important to be kind to yourself and have some relaxed time in the morning.
A quiet 15 minutes, deep breathing, morning light, and words of gratitude.
These are all small acts of self-care that you can incorporate without strain.
Even on mornings when your heart feels unsettled, a little more warmth will grow.
I, too, fluctuate day by day, but I cherish my feelings in order to live a life without regrets.
I would be happy if we could walk through such days together, gently.
