Soul of the Machine City
Clad in the city's armor,
mechanically
tracing the days.
Within the rules
drawn by someone else,
I become a part of the city.
What echoes in my ears
is the whisper of electrons.
My true feelings
are buried deep within the circuits.
A feigned smile,
streamlined breathing.
My heart creaks,
with no time for oiling.
A dream of crossing a bridge in the sky,
where is the real "me"?
In sync with the city's orchestrated rhythm,
my soul screams,
"Express your emotions, your true self."
A small heat glows in my steel chest,
piercing through the mechanical outer shell,
a new heartbeat resonates.
I transcend the city,
I transcend the rules,
the voice of my soul,
I want to deliver it to the world today.
