Just 3 Steps! You Can Organize Your Daily Life. I Never Knew Writing Could Make Me Feel This Light!
In the midst of a busy daily life, it is hard to find time to quietly close your eyes and meditate.
For those of you in that situation, I recommend "writing meditation" using an "emotion notebook."
Touching the depths of your heart by writing
The essence of meditation is "noticing yourself in this very moment."
Let's try replacing that with a notebook and pen.
The method is very simple.
Step 1: Write down what is in your head
First, set a timer for one minute and write down whatever comes to mind just as it occurs to you.
"I feel kind of irritated today," "I'm worried about work," "I'm tired."
Any words are fine.
The important thing is not to judge, but to just write down exactly what you are feeling.
Step 2: Choose one thing and dig deeper
From what you have written down, choose one emotion or event that particularly concerns you.
Try digging deeper into that theme for another minute.
"Why did I feel that way?" "What did I really want to do?"
Ask yourself these questions as you write more specifically.
Step 3: Ask yourself questions
If your feelings of unease do not clear up even after writing,
try asking yourself, "What do I really want to do?" or "What is most important right now?"
It is okay if you do not find an answer right away.
By asking questions, the thoughts that were sleeping deep in your heart will gradually turn into words.
The effects of writing meditation
You will notice patterns in your thoughts and emotions, and your stress resilience will increase.
The issues that were making you feel uneasy will be organized, making it easier to set priorities.
Your self-esteem will rise, and it will become easier to take the first step toward action.
Writing becomes a "mental workout" that brings your consciousness back to this very moment.
Even if you are not good at meditation, you can easily start by writing.
If you have a notebook and a pen, you can create time to face yourself anywhere.
Why not ask yourself some gentle questions today?
May your daily life become even a little bit gentler.
