#112 Every Day is =^_^= Day: The Forgetful N=^_^= 🎶

I forgot my earphones at the charger at work.

I realized it while waiting for the bus to go home at the bus stop.
The bus is coming soon, and there is no time to go back and get them.
I have no choice but to walk without music.
This is already the umpteenth time I've forgotten my earphones...

That morning, I forgot the filter for my warm air heater at home.

(What does that mean (?_?)
At work, it gets cold around my feet with just the air conditioner, so I remembered I had a warm air heater at home that I wasn't using and prepared to take it in the day before.
The filter was covered in dust, so I washed it.
Knowing myself, I thought I would definitely forget it, so I wanted to set it right then, but it's probably not a good idea to set a wet filter into an electrical appliance.
But, knowing myself, I would definitely forget it.

What to do...

That's it! If I put it on top of this warm air heater to dry, it will catch my eye!
To make sure I didn't forget the warm air heater, I put it in a bag and placed the filter on top of it.
Even though it's my own doing, my anti-forgetfulness measure is perfect!

Despite that, I forgot it.

What happened was, when I left the house in the morning, I had completely forgotten that I had placed the filter on top of the warm air heater to dry.
I probably dropped the filter the moment I picked up the bag, but since I had forgotten that I had placed it on top, there was no way I would notice.

I realized I had forgotten the filter while on the bus to work.
I was so stupid that I had no energy to go back and get it.
(The next day, I brought it and successfully installed it on the warm air heater (;´д｀)

I have written an article before about how often I forget things.

As I wrote in that article, I forget things so often that I created a checklist, but it's troublesome because if something isn't written on the checklist, it completely slips my mind.

And then, the other day...

I wanted to go to the contact lens store on my way home from work to exchange my prescription.
The day before, I put the box of contact lenses I wanted to exchange into a tote bag and placed it next to the bag I always carry around.
Perfect!
This way, I definitely won't forget it.

The next morning, I left the house with the tote bag as planned.
Everything is fine now.
Then, I suddenly remembered that I hadn't checked my usual checklist this morning, but recently I've been checking items on the checklist the day before and avoiding doing unnecessary things (Note) when leaving, so I've been forgetting things less.
(Note: I've forgotten to put on my name tag with a USB drive twice after taking it out of my bag to put it around my neck... Both times, my husband had to deliver it to my workplace. This is what I mean by not doing unnecessary things.)

I checked while in the car, and everything was there.
It's okay.
Today, it's perfect!

I arrived at work and went to the restroom.

To my surprise, I didn't have a handkerchief...

I make it a rule to put a handkerchief in my pocket when I change clothes in the morning, but I forgot to put it in...

But, for times like this, I always keep a spare in my bag.
Better safe than... well, I'm in big trouble, but for now... none (T_T)
The pattern on the spare handkerchief is Winnie the Pooh.
As a lesson, I ended up spending the day with the Winnie the Pooh handkerchief.

I forget something almost every day.

I worry about whether I can do something about this disposition of mine.

However, it is amazing that even though I forget this much, I never lose my things.

I really want to praise myself for that (￣▽￣;)

As I get older, it seems like it's only going to get worse, but I guess I have no choice but to take measures and learn to live with it =^_^=
