Liberation from Assumptions! A Step Toward Gaining Freedom

Hello, this is Maru.

Through my experience of changing from being super negative, I share the secrets to living comfortably and how to gain your true self.

Regardless of gender,
many people are seeking freedom, aren't they?

Don't you feel the same way
sometimes?

When I asked women at work
why they seek freedom,

“Because my children take up my time”
“Because my day ends with work and housework”
“Because work is busy”
“Because I have no time for myself”
“Because I have to take care of my parents”

These were the kinds of worries they had.

As I listened further,

“I have to work to make a living, right? Children cost money too.”
“It would be nice if I had financial power, but since I don't have that ability, I have no choice but to endure it.”

Broadly speaking,
this kind of content continued.

I have thought the same things
before, so I understand the feeling of

“I have no freedom!”

I understand that feeling.

However, there was a deeper cause for why I really felt I had no freedom.

・I have to work to survive
・I have to endure and work
・I have no talent or ability
・I must endure to live

These assumptions I created myself
were narrowing my actions.

Therefore, if you really want to gain freedom,
I think it is to be liberated
from these assumptions.

“You go to work every day, you're amazing. But isn't it okay to take a break?”

“You're enduring and working hard, aren't you? But isn't it okay to prioritize yourself?”

“It's okay not to have talent or ability. Just being alive is a huge win.”

If you say “I must do XX,”
the answer becomes singular, but if you say
“Isn't it okay to do XX?”
the range of choices expands.

As you forgive yourself for these restrictions,
you will begin to understand,
'Ah, so this is what freedom feels like.'

You can do something, or you don't have to.

Expanding your freedom of choice in this way
is the first step toward achieving true freedom.
