Hello, I'm Maru.

Through my experience of changing from being super negative, I share the secrets to living comfortably and how to gain a sense of self.

While I was tidying up my house,
I found a telephone card.

How nostalgic!

There was a time when everyone had one, wasn't there?

However, along with the decrease in public phones,
telephone cards have also disappeared.

CD Walkmans and pagers were also
a huge trend once, but
things that have finished their role and are no longer needed
naturally disappear.

On the other hand,
things that are needed continue to
remain across generations.

I thought that work is the same.

Previously, someone working at a supermarket checkout
said something like this.

"Because it's a job anyone can do, I don't feel like I'm useful to anyone."

They were underestimating their own work, but
if it were truly a useless job,
I think it would have disappeared from this world.

There is no one who doesn't
use supermarkets or convenience stores, right?

Since I use crutches,
when handling my bags at the checkout,
it sometimes takes time.

At that time,
"You don't need to rush,"
just by having someone say that to me,
I can feel relieved.

Just by being served with a smile,
my feelings are eased.

It's the same with any job, but
when you feel like you are "not useful,"
you can lose your motivation, can't you?

When that happens, please remember.

Your job
exists because it is definitely useful to someone.

With just one smile, you can cheer someone up.
With just one word, you can make someone feel at ease.

No matter how small it may seem,
your work has great significance.

Depending on how you approach it,
that work can change into something that makes someone smile.

And when you realize that,
your work will start to become even more enjoyable.

Your smile, your greetings,
and every casual word you say,
please do not forget that they are
warming someone's heart.
