Changing Your Perspective Changes the World

Hello, I'm Maru.

When a new staff member joins the workplace, you're curious about what kind of person they are, aren't you?

When you ask other staff members,
"What were they like?"

Some will say, "They were a pleasant person who greeted me with a smile."

While others might say,

"They're a bit clumsy, aren't they?"

Some people go out of their way
to point out the negatives.

Whether you look for the good points
or look for the bad points.

It seems that people decide for themselves
what they are going to find.

Even when they fail,
some people try to find
how they can succeed next time,
while others look for excuses.

I used to be the latter type.

When faced with a challenge,
instead of asking "How can I clear this?"
I would find reasons why
"There's no way I can do this!"

It's nothing to be proud of, but
because I was exceptionally good at finding reasons
why I "couldn't" do something,
I didn't grow even a millimeter.

When you look at the world negatively,
you only notice dark information.

When you look for people's negative points,
human relationships become strained.

To avoid following in my footsteps,
it's a good idea to decide for yourself what you will look for.

Look for what you can do.
Look for the good points.
Look for ways to succeed.
Look for things that will make others happy.

When your perspective changes,
the world changes.

The things you can do and the things you can achieve
will increase.

When you become good at finding the good in people,
you will be loved by others.

Just by changing your perspective,
you can change yourself.

That's amazing, isn't it?

If you're trying hard to change yourself but not seeing results,
try changing what you look for.

With this, the world you see
will be determined♪
