Recycled Fertilizer "BONEARTH®" Wins Good Design Award!
A world first! "BONEARTH®," a fertilizer recycled from discarded tableware, has won the 2022 Good Design Award!
BONEARTH has received the 2022 Good Design Award hosted by the Japan Institute of Design Promotion 🎉
The award recognizes it as a pure white, beautiful, and functional phosphate fertilizer, as well as an eco-friendly circular business.
There were many hardships before BONEARTH was officially recognized as a fertilizer by the government. Currently, the biggest challenge is getting approval for the collection of tableware to be turned into BONEARTH. Unless the collection of tableware is approved, a circular economy cannot be realized. Solving this challenge—and realizing a circular economy—requires your support.
We hope that this award will encourage more people to support BONEARTH's circular economy, and that we can work together with you to solve the challenges BONEARTH currently faces.
If you support BONEARTH's initiatives or are interested in BONEARTH, please leave a comment!

Jury Evaluation
Irreparable bone china tableware turned into fertilizer. It is remarkable that research and development, which began with a casual office conversation at the time of the revision of the Fertilizer Regulation Act, has successfully culminated in a product that serves as a phosphate fertilizer, an essential component of fertilizer. We would like to highlight the fact that it returns to the soil after its role as a fertilizer is finished, and the potential for phosphorus, which is currently dependent on imports, to be obtained through a domestic circular system. It is a pure white, beautiful, functional, and eco-friendly circular business—a product that demonstrates the true strength of a long-established pottery manufacturer founded in 1908.
