【How the Soul Story Session Came to Be】
—My origin was Dragon Quest—
While creating the Soul Story Session,
I suddenly realized something.
“Wait? Isn't this exactly the world
I loved so much when I was a child?”
That’s what I thought.
Little UTA-chan at 10 years old.
If you ask what I was obsessed with back then—
it was Dragon Quest.
Please listen to the BGM
while you read.🥰
When this music plays,
I time-slip.
I loved entering the game world
and soaking in its lingering atmosphere.
Feeling excited.
Imagining things.
Going on adventures.
Those were
truly heart-fluttering
moments.
The game contained
all the elements I loved.
Stories.
Adventures.
Battles.
Training.
Magic.
Companions.
Even if you fall,
you are revived with a spell.
Even if you lose your energy,
you recover with an item.
With my heart fluttering
in such a world,
I was always
traveling in my imagination.
Thinking about it now,
perhaps I have always liked
“the sense of seeing life as a story”
since back then.
The protagonist of Dragon Quest
is very weak at first.
The enemies are weak, too.
But as you travel,
you gain experience,
your level goes up,
and you gradually become stronger.
The enemies become stronger, too.
Companions increase,
and the world expands.
And then you realize.
“That event, too,
and this encounter, too,
were all part of the story.”
I think life
is surely the same.
Even painful events.
Even experiences that seem like detours.
Even events whose meaning I didn't understand.
When looking back later,
everything
becomes “part of the soul's story.”
The Soul Story Session
that I have just started
is a session that interprets a person's life
as “a single story.”
What kind of journey
has that person's soul taken?
What kind of companions have they met,
what kind of trials have they overcome,
and what kind of powers have they acquired?
Just like
reading a [Dragon Quest Adventure Log],
I unravel the soul's story
one by one.
Thinking about it that way,
perhaps I have been preparing
to create this service
for a very long time.
The world of Dragon Quest
that 10-year-old little UTA-chan
was obsessed with.
The excitement from back then
still lives within me today.
Life is
a single adventure.
And we are all
living our own stories.
So if there is someone
who is lost right now,
I want to say this.
“It’s okay.
Your adventure
is still continuing.”
And surely,
along the way of that journey,
new companions, new magic,
and new stories
must be waiting for you.
