Odakyu 8000 Series Photography Diary #41: In Search of Coolness
The intense heat, or rather, the extreme heat continues, but how is everyone doing?
This is Shonan Kyuko.
Is it just me, or does this summer feel even hotter than usual?
Amidst the ongoing extreme heat, I headed to Shin-Matsuda to photograph the 8000 series with some summer-like scenery.

(Sakawa River / Kaisei - Shin-Matsuda)
The first photo is of a 6-car 8000 series train crossing the Sakawa River bridge.
I wanted to capture the flow of the river, and since it was hot and I wanted to cool off, I waded into the water up to my knees to take it. Please overlook the slight softness in focus. It's just for my own satisfaction.
I will retake it if I get the chance.
The summer river felt very pleasant.

(Kawaoto River / Shin-Matsuda - Shibusawa)
The second photo is of the 8000 series crossing the Kawaoto River. It is the same train as in the first photo.
I also waded into the water to take this one.
The beautiful flow of the river, the deep green mountains, the billowing white clouds, and the 8000 series passing through.
I encountered a wonderful, quintessentially summer scene where everything came together.
So, this time, I went to take pictures of the river in search of coolness and summer-like scenery. I expect the hot days will continue for a while, so please take care of yourselves and stay safe~☺
See you again👋
