[L&F] 26 "B21A" Molybdenum Doping Complete <Maruyama Molybdenum Base Power EX for Engine Oil Suspension 150ml (Traditional Recipe Ver.)>
It's been about a year since I quietly switched from Nana-chan to my current car. Just after I safely passed the vehicle inspection, I learned about the existence of an interesting item.
Its name is "Maruyama Molybdenum"

I bought it lol. My car
has things like idling stop and isn't what you'd call an old car, so I thought a more modern concentrate might be better, but well, it's in its 9th year, and the McCoy Shokai Amazon branch only had the suspension version. Well, it's not like the suspension version is absolutely bad, it's a convenient 150ml for the dosage, and if anything, I wanted to
feel the spirit of Keihan Shokai, so it's no problem.

Ready for deployment
Pop the hood. This cap with the knob is the oil filler cap. It's screwed on, so just open it and pour it in. The yellow one on the right is the oil level gauge. A
long stick is inserted in there. Alright, let's do the prep work.
To avoid any damage if I spill, I'll surround the cap with a rag before removing it. By the way, one of the selling points of this additive is that the molybdenum particles are extremely fine, and if it gets on your clothes, it will never come out lol. I'm the kind of guy who has a high probability of messing that up lol. When I open it, I can see part of the inside of the engine through the opening, so I'll try taking a picture. I tried, but I can't tell what's what lol. What part is that visible component? I wonder if it would be more fun to inspect with a fiber camera. How much would that cost? I'm a little interested now lol.
I'll also set up a funnel to aim for a lower spill rate. By the way, people call these things 'funnels' or 'pourers' (roto or jogo). I wondered what the difference was, so I googled it and it's quite interesting. First, if you write it in kanji, it's '
漏斗'. Both are '漏斗'. This kanji has two different readings. Wow, Japanese people lol. Various origins and usage differences came up, but
it's long so I won't write it lol. For this usage, I think 'jogo' is fine

Out of habit from my 2-stroke oil days, I leave it like this for a while to make sure as little as possible is left in the bottle. I'm such a cheapskate lol.
While waiting, I'll try taking a picture of the bit left in the cap. I think this sludge (way of putting it lol) looking stuff is the molybdenum disulfide mixed in as the main ingredient. Interesting color. As I wrote on X, it's
a color that suits AFVs. Also, the skin color of monsters/creatures like goblins. And also, though it might be misunderstood if I say it after this preamble, I thought it also suits British cars.
I thought maybe the color was off because the work light has low color rendering, so I retook it in a photo booth, but... it was the correct color lol.
Post-processing
Successfully poured the whole amount without spilling, tightened the cap, checked the oil level just in case, no problems, Phase 1 of the assault operation complete. I'll
move to Phase 2 immediately.
What I'll do is, just start the engine and let it idle lol. About 10-15 minutes should be enough. It seems it will circulate and blend into the inside of the engine during that time.
Changes
After about 10 minutes, I guess? the sound elements just sort of faded away. My impression is that it's similar to when the RPM drops slightly. But the RPM hasn't dropped. It's strange. This bike doesn't have a tachometer so I don't know the exact RPM, but the behavior of the auxiliary equipment around the engine hardly changed at all.
However, the high-pitched noise coming from the engine itself decreased, and the sound pressure of the low-pitched noise became gentler. The result is that it feels a bit quieter overall. This isn't based on measured values, it's 100% my own personal feeling. I thought that maybe this is the same feeling as the "I feel like it got quieter" mentioned in other reports. It's interesting.
Results and Future
It really did get quieter. That was a surprise. Now, I'm interested to see how it feels while riding and whether or not the fuel economy changes. It's very intriguing to see what will happen.
