[Sano City, Tochigi Prefecture] A small, unfinished campsite for enjoying silence and bonfires: Bird Bell has landed in Aichi! A happy letter has arrived No.346
The Obon holiday is just a few days away.
And before I knew it, next month is September.
Man, time flies by so fast.
Hello everyone, it's Yoshi.
The other day, something very happy happened.
The Bird Bell original T-shirt I introduced previously.
I already introduced the first camper to purchase one, showing them wearing it at Bird Bell.
And as for the second camper, I will introduce them at a later date...
The one I am introducing this time is the third.
Actually, these people have been acquaintances of mine from long before Bird Bell was created.
They were friends from back when several families used to go camping together.
That connection has continued even now, after all this time.
One day, I received a message on Instagram.
"I want to order a T-shirt."
And what's more, the couple ordered one in sand beige and one in sumi black.
Huh?
From Aichi?
Honestly, I was quite happy.
Thank you so much for the wonderful news.
After all, Bird Bell is a small, unfinished campsite located in Sano City, Tochigi Prefecture.
It's not like the T-shirt is crossing the ocean or anything (laughs).
It is traveling all the way to Aichi Prefecture.
Bird Bell has landed in Aichi Prefecture!
And there is something even happier.
To my surprise, they even sent me photos of them actually wearing them.
The husband is wearing charcoal.
The wife is wearing sand beige.
First, from the front.

And then from the back.

Looking at the photos, Ucchi and I said,
"This is great!"
"It's actually quite stylish!"
We were patting ourselves on the back (laughs).
No, but really.
I think we have the right to be proud of this.
Because this T-shirt features something very important
to both Ucchi and me.
Our two precious sons and one daughter.
Char-kun.
Jam-kun.
Jill-chan.
These three are featured in the design.
I mean...
If I don't brag about it here, where else would I?
That's what I'm saying (laughs).
But what really made me happy wasn't just the T-shirt itself.
The fact that there are people supporting Bird Bell from so far away like this.
That is what makes me happiest of all.
Come to think of it, it's been quite a long time since we started developing the Bird Bell campsite.
We haven't met in person since then.
Even so, we are connected on Instagram, and they are wearing a Bird Bell T-shirt like this.
It's kind of mysterious, isn't it?
I realized once again that human connections aren't broken by distance.
That's what I felt all over again.
This might have been the happiest thing that has happened to us recently.
One T-shirt was sold.
Of course, that makes me happy too.
It is a wonderful thing to have such a connection.
Thank you so much.
But what makes me happy is,
“That you are still supporting me even now.”
That is it.
If you have some time, please come and visit Bird Bell.
And, someday again...
It would be wonderful if we could all go camping together with the members from back then.
Gathered around a bonfire,
“Remember back then?”
If we could talk like that, I'm sure it would be fun.
Since starting Bird Bell, I have met many campers.
And sometimes, old connections are reconnected just like this.
I thought I was building a campsite,
but before I knew it, I was also nurturing connections with people.
That is how it feels.
Two Bird Bell T-shirts that arrived from Aichi.
To me, they are not just T-shirts.
They are a happy letter that arrived from a place far away,
“We are still connected.”
saying just that.
Thank you so much.
Both Ucchi and I are looking forward to the day we can meet you again at Bird Bell.
Thank you very much for reading until the end today.
I would be happy if you could take a look at the next Bird Bell Diary.
See you then!
See you.
