Lessons from a trip.
Hello, this is Tai.
I've already received some reactions from people who read my self-introduction article, and my motivation has gone up a little.
(Wait, only a little?!)
Thank you for taking the time to read it.
I will continue to post at my own pace, so I appreciate your continued support.
Changing the subject, going back about two weeks...
I went on a day trip to Sendai for the first time!
Speaking of Sendai...!
What comes to mind for everyone?
Most of the purpose of a trip would be food or sightseeing spots.
As answers to the previous question, I suppose things like beef tongue, Matsushima (one of the three most scenic spots in Japan), and the Sendai Castle ruins (Aoba Castle) would be mentioned.
However, the purpose of my Sendai trip was neither food nor sightseeing.
As for the purpose, it was to watch a movie!
The work is "Haikyu!! The Dumpster Battle."
This work was released on February 16th of this year.

At the time of release, I had zero interest in Haikyu!!, so it wasn't on my radar.
The trigger for me getting hooked on Haikyu!! was the influence of my wife, who I live with.
My wife, who had already gotten hooked on Haikyu!!, would talk about Haikyu!! every time she came home from work... (It seems she was watching it during her commute.)
Before I knew it, I was watching the first episode too. lol
It didn't take long for me to develop a passion for Haikyu!! from there.
After finishing the final episode of anime season 4, I learned that the continuation had been made into a movie.
I digressed a bit, but...
Why go from Saitama Prefecture to Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture...?
The reason is that at the time I went on the Sendai trip, the only movie theater where I could watch the Haikyu!! movie was in Sendai.
Moreover, when I checked the screening dates, the only one left was on a certain Sunday at 11:30 AM.
If I missed this, I wouldn't be able to watch Haikyu!! in a movie theater, and as an Amazon Prime member, I would have no choice but to sit and wait for it to be released for free.
I didn't want that! I really wanted to see the work in a movie theater, so I negotiated with my wife and the Sendai trip was decided.
(I'm grateful to my wife for going along with a sudden trip.)
The purpose of going to Sendai was the movie, but of course, as a bonus, we went to eat beef tongue and visited Matsushima and the Sendai Castle ruins!
(The examples I mentioned earlier when asked 'Speaking of Sendai?' were the places we stopped by this time.)
Here, I, who am currently lost in life, think.
If I could make what I love and have a passion for my job, wouldn't I always be able to take the best actions?
For this trip, I went all the way to Sendai because I wanted to see the Haikyu!! movie. This ability to take action was driven by my passion for Haikyu!!.
Four hours one way to Sendai, and a day trip at that...
Thinking about it now, it was quite tough.
However, I went to Sendai with the sole intention of wanting to see the Haikyu!! movie.
Being able to realize that this passion and ability to take action were within me was the biggest takeaway from this trip.
The journey to find what I love and have a passion for seems like it will continue for a while.
What are you passionate about?
