This is my Mission, Vision, and Values!
Hello!
I'm Megumi Ikeda, an interview writer.
Recently, I had some time to pause and think, "Why am I working as an interview writer again?"
Honestly, I haven't been able to put it into words well until now. Although I had a vague feeling that "maybe I value these things," I hadn't been able to clearly articulate them.
As I continue my work as a freelancer, I feel like I've finally found a clear guiding principle: "This is what I want to work hard for."
This time, I have summarized what I want to achieve through my future business, my newly created "Mission, Vision, and Values."
Mission: Shining a spotlight on charms that are not yet known
What I want to achieve in this job. It is to shine a spotlight on charms that are not yet known to the world and fully support people and companies that are working hard.
There are many people in the world who are working with wonderful services, products, and aspirations. But they are buried because they aren't reaching people properly or aren't known. Don't you think that situation is a huge waste?
Through interviews and content creation, I want to help unearth such "hidden values" and deliver them to the world.
Vision: A society where truly good services are properly evaluated
The future I am aiming for is to create a society where truly good services are properly evaluated and everyone can demonstrate their true selves.
Is that a bit too grand? (^-^;
But I truly believe it.
I want a world where evaluation isn't decided just by flashy marketing or how good one is at presenting, but where people and services that honestly provide value are properly recognized.
There is a limit to what I can do on my own, but I would be happy if I could get even a little closer to that ideal through each and every job.
Values: The 4 things I cherish
To realize my mission and vision, I have listed four values that I want to cherish in my daily work.
1. Discovering the client's charm from a fan's perspective
I will bring out their charm objectively and passionately, with the intention of becoming the client's "number one fan."
There are good points that you can only notice because you are looking from the outside. Things that the person themselves thinks are "obvious" are actually very valuable. I want to enjoy such discoveries together while putting their charm into words.
2. Articulating value through dialogue
Using the power of interviews, I carefully draw out and give shape to thoughts and information that even the individuals themselves may not have realized.
This is something I hold particularly dear as an interview writer. Rather than just receiving information one-sidedly, through repeated dialogue, there are moments where people realize, 'Oh, so this is what I was thinking.' I believe being present for those moments is the true thrill of interviewing.
3. Striving for sincere communication and branding
I support conveying things that I truly believe are 'good' to the world by turning them into the optimal content (text, photos, videos).
This is also a reminder to myself, but 'sincerity' is a point I absolutely cannot compromise on. Saying something is 'good' when you don't truly believe it is, in the end, not helping anyone. That is precisely why I want to work with people I can support from the bottom of my heart.
4. Standing by the client as a personal partner
As a 'dedicated public relations' partner for my clients, I will remain their closest ally, from strategy to execution.
I want to build relationships where I can provide long-term support, not just one-off article production. It would be my greatest honor to become someone people think of and say, 'I should consult with Ikeda-san when I'm in trouble.'
Toward a future where 'good things' are properly chosen
Creating content itself is not the goal. I want to take responsibility for the process all the way to the point where it 'reaches the people it should reach and is correctly evaluated.' And I must aim to contribute to sales.
For me, interviews, photos, and videos are all just 'means' to an end. Since the necessary content varies depending on the client's wishes and situation, having many options is better so that I can respond flexibly.
Turning your thoughts into a 'form' that reaches the world. I look forward to weaving new stories together with the people I will meet from here on!
Thank you very much for reading until the end. I look forward to your continued support for the 'new' Ai Ikeda! ('ω')ノ
