I'm trying out individual interview support

Good evening!
I'm Megumi Ikeda, an interview writer.

With the spread of generative AI like ChatGPT, we have entered an era where anyone can easily write text (at a 60-70 point level). It is precisely because of this that I feel there is a skill whose value is being re-evaluated.

That is the ability to draw out and systematize the other person's true intentions (interviewing skills).

It is true that AI is good at organizing information. However, I believe that drawing out the thoughts deep within someone's heart and the stories that have not yet been put into words is a job that only a "human" can do.

Why I decided to create a place for "interview practice"

As an interviewer myself, there is something I have keenly felt. That is that you need plenty of experience to master interviewing skills.

Even if you can gain knowledge from books and courses, when it comes to the real thing, you might get nervous and fail to ask good questions or dig deeper... I am quite used to it now, but I went through a lot of trial and error to get here.

"I wish there was a place where I could practice more casually before the real thing."

Wanting to help those who have the same worries as my past self, I decided to launch this "Individual Interview Support" service.

I will act as your "partner" for interview practice. You can gain practical interview experience in a situation just like the real thing.

1. Service details

• Mock interview (approx. 1 hour): Conducted online (Zoom).

• Provision of recorded video/audio data: I will provide the data after the session.

*If there is demand in the future, I plan to consider in-person mock interviews as well.

2. Target audience

• Those with no interview experience or beginners

• Those who want to gain experience as an interview writer from now on

• Those who have an actual interview coming up soon and want to simulate it in advance

3. Monitor price (limited to 2 people)

5,500 yen (tax included)

An invoice will be issued after the mock interview is completed, so please make payment by the end of the following month, with a closing date at the end of the month.

4. What I would like to ask of monitors

To make this a more fruitful practice session, I would like you to prepare the following two items.

• Creation of a questionnaire (a summary of what you want to ask on the day)

• Sharing of the situation (what kind of media and what purpose of interview you are envisioning)
