7 Childcare Items You Can Use for a Long Time After Birth | Baby Products I'm Glad I Bought
This time, I'd like to write about some recommended childcare items that I've been wanting to feature in an article for a while!
I've tried many different products while raising my two children, but this time I will only introduce items that were a huge hit with both my eldest and second daughter.
I've also listed the recommended points in bullet points, so please take a look! I've also honestly written about the points that concerned me.
I've summarized the recommended points in the table of contents, so please feel free to take a look at just the ones you're interested in ☺️ I hope this is at least a little helpful. Let's get started!
1. A Partner for Nighttime Feedings [BALMUDA Lantern]

This is the best. Thanks to this lantern, I was able to get through those tough night shifts!! There are no points of concern! It's a product that deserves 500 out of 500 points!!
Brightness can be adjusted flexibly: It's perfect for feedings and diaper changes, and there's no worry about waking up the family.
Won't break even if dropped: Even if I drop it while half-asleep, it doesn't even get a scratch (it's tough).
Long-lasting battery: You don't need to charge it frequently!
Stylish: We use the white one, and it's also excellent as an interior decor piece!
2. Fluffy and Sound Sleep [Rakuchu Takaokaya Senbei Zabuton]

It immediately solves the problem of 'Where should I lay down a newborn baby in the living room?'
It's fluffy and the baby sleeps soundly (I often slept next to them too).
There are many patterns, making it easy to choose one that suits your taste.
Safe because it doesn't hurt even when they start rolling over: My second daughter, who is now crawling, still takes naps on this cushion.
We bought the type where the cover cannot be removed, so I occasionally send it to the cleaners, but it seems there is also a type with a washable cover ☺️
When they were newborns, I was worried about spit-up and would lay down a bath towel, so I thought the type with a washable cover would be easier to use!
3. Banishing Diaper Odors [Pigeon Stale]

My husband has a very sensitive nose, so I bought this because I wanted to eliminate odor leakage at all costs.
Shuts out 90% of odors: It's impossible to get 100% because it smells a little when you move the lever, but once you return the lever to its original position, you don't notice the smell at all!
Compatible with any bag: You can use standard store-bought trash bags (20-30L).
Can be used as a trash can for things other than diapers: We keep one in the bathroom and use it to dispose of sanitary products as well.
Design that blends into the interior
The only thing I'm concerned about is that it can fill up quickly depending on the size of the bag and how often the baby goes. Currently, we use two bags before trash day.
Even so, it seals in odors effectively, so I've been relying on it since my eldest daughter was born!
4. Wash comfortably [Richell Non-Chilly Bath Mat]
I threw this away after my eldest daughter outgrew it, so I bought it again after my second daughter was born (lol).
Non-slip and easy to wash: It's lightweight, so you can safely wash even a slippery baby!
Lightweight and drains well: At first I thought it might be in the way, but it's light and dries quickly, so it's convenient to place in various spots!
Warm when you pour hot water over it: Hot water collects on the back, so it seemed warm even during winter baths.
Before buying this, I was desperate not to drop my daughters, but thanks to this mat, I can wash them with peace of mind. It can only be used until about 6 months old, but it's still well worth the purchase!
5. Defeat stuffy noses [Baby Smile Merseypot]
If I didn't have this, I definitely would have been sleep-deprived! That's how many times it saved me!
Sucks up a lot, quickly: Clears stuffy noses without putting a burden on my daughters! The suction power is also the best!
At first, I used a manual suction device, but it didn't work at all, so I had to rely on the ENT clinic. Even then, it was tough when they got congested at night, so I bought this, and it made things much easier...
The noise is a bit loud and it's a hassle to clean, but even taking those into account, I'm really glad I bought it. It's a huge help during cold season. It's the MVP!
6. The optimal solution for solo play [People Smart Educational Gym & Walker]

It was a huge hit with my eldest daughter, so I left it out and my second daughter is also hooked and plays with it often.
Can be used for a long time: It starts from the newborn stage and can be used during the sitting stage, and when they start pulling up to stand or cruising.
Easy to store: It folds up, making it easy to store, so I was able to keep it until my second daughter was born.
Develops dexterity: Thanks to this toy, my daughters have become better at moving their fingers and hands.
It can be used for a long time, and despite its simple design, it seems to pique a baby's curiosity, so they play with it by themselves... People Co., Ltd. is amazing!! (I'm a fan)
My eldest daughter was able to pull herself up to a standing position while playing with this toy, and she used it to practice cruising.
7. The King of Playmats: [CARAZ Playmat]

I struggled to choose a playmat when I had my eldest daughter and eventually ended up with CARAZ. I bought another one after my second daughter was born, so I have two now.
It doesn't hurt at all even if they roll over or fall: Because it is thick, it is an excellent mat that can be laid out not only for babies but also as a play area for children.
The waterproof coating is solid: It's fine even if something spills! It was even strong enough to handle the biohazard of my eldest daughter's gastroenteritis...! So reliable!
It's easy to store because it can be folded: You can fold it up and store it when using a robot vacuum cleaner.
The design is cute!: Not only the playmats, but the related products (baby gates, etc.) are also stylish and cute!
I have bought various mats (puzzle mats, playmats from other manufacturers, etc.) until now, but CARAZ was the one where my daughters could play happily without hurting their heads and it was easy to maintain.
It's expensive, so we hesitated a lot before buying it, but even if I bought a cheap mat, it couldn't absorb the impact, and I ended up wasting money on cheap goods, so I regretted not buying this from the start. (I bought it immediately for my second daughter!)
Conclusion
How was it? I introduced not only classic goods but also some lesser-known ones!
These are all convenient goods that I was impressed by when I had my eldest daughter and still use today😊 I threw away the Richell bath mat once, but I use the same ones for everything else. They last a long time!!
There are also quite a few things that "I could use for my eldest daughter but not for my second daughter" or "I didn't need for my eldest daughter but needed for my second daughter," so I would like to write an article about that later.
I think word of mouth is everything for childcare goods! I would be happy if this was even a little helpful for everyone considering a purchase✨
Thank you for reading until the end! I hope to see you in the next article...🌟
Thank you for reading!!!
