🛫 Airline used

JAL (Japan Airlines)
I used JAL miles for the airfare to keep round-trip cash expenses low. At Haneda Airport, I used the First Class check-in counter and spent a comfortable pre-departure time in the Diamond Premier Lounge. I enjoyed salmon rice balls and coffee in the lounge, and the flight to Miyazaki was smooth despite being full. Although it was a short flight, the in-flight service was excellent.

🏨 Hotel used

Sheraton Grande Ocean Resort (Miyazaki Seagaia)
A 43-story resort hotel where I took full advantage of the club floor benefits. I enjoyed drinks and light snacks all day in the club lounge, along with a great selection of alcoholic beverages including Moët & Chandon. The guest room had a spacious ocean view, and the scenery was breathtaking. Furthermore, I was able to enjoy luxurious open-air baths and private baths at the 'Shosenkyu' hot spring facility. The marshmallow roasting experience and the special letter-writing experience in the Letter Room are also unique charms of this hotel.

🧭 Travel schedule and course details

Day 1: From Haneda Airport to Miyazaki, elegant time at Seagaia

• Early morning: Enjoying special time before departing Haneda Airport In the Diamond Premier Lounge, I enjoyed light snacks like freshly baked bread and salmon rice balls, and built up anticipation for the trip with a coffee in hand. Inside the lounge, the view of the runway from the window and the quiet space created the beginning of an extraordinary experience.

• After arriving in Miyazaki: Smooth travel to Seagaia After arriving at Miyazaki Airport, I checked for information on the surrounding area at the JR station and tourist information center attached to the airport. While watching the calm scenery of Miyazaki that had overcome the effects of the typhoon, I enjoyed the 30-minute bus ride. Along the way, there were moments to touch upon local landscapes and streets with a sense of daily life.

• Check-in: Hospitality in the special space of the club lounge Exclusive check-in at the 36th-floor club lounge of the Sheraton Grande Ocean Resort. The ocean view spreads out from the large windows, and I spent a relaxing time with a welcome drink. Inside the lounge, Sarutahiko Coffee cappuccinos and sweets specially made by the pastry chef were lined up, heightening the anticipation for the stay.

• Room: A spacious Club Floor room on the 40th floor Approximately 50 square meters in size, the room offers a panoramic view of the coastline, and amenities include the luxury spa brand 'Thalgo Japon.' With complimentary drinks in the refrigerator and high-quality bed linens, a comfortable stay is guaranteed.

• Exploring the hotel and roasting marshmallows After enjoying a stroll around the hotel, experience roasting marshmallows at the bonfire living area. While receiving tips from the staff on how to roast them, you can enjoy watching the marshmallows puff up. You'll feel like you're glamping as you welcome the dusk with a sweet aroma.

• Relaxing in the hot springs: The open-air baths of Shosenkyu Head to 'Shosenkyu,' the hot spring facility on the hotel grounds. In 'Shingetsu,' exclusively for hotel guests, you can soak in the hot springs in a quiet environment and soothe the fatigue of your journey. Day 2: Enjoying Miyazaki's nature and activities

• Breakfast: Enjoying the unique flavors of Miyazaki At the breakfast buffet at Pine Terrace on the 1st floor, enjoy local Miyazaki dishes like 'Hiyajiru' (chilled soup) and fluffy Kyushu pancakes. The live kitchen features omelets made by chefs and grilled fish, offering a breakfast experience unique to a top-tier hotel.

• Writing a letter to the future in the Letter Room Create a 'Letter to the Future' in the Letter Room attached to the 'Kazemachi Terrace' inside the hotel. • Cycling: An exhilarating time riding through the beach and forest Ride along the beach and through the forest on the dedicated cycling paths using bicycles rented from the hotel. Feel the sound of the waves as you ride along the beachside, refreshing your mind and body in nature. At stopover spots, you can also enjoy interacting with locals and taking photos.

• A special time in a private open-air bath Enjoy a completely private moment in the small but atmospheric 'Jusanya' private open-air bath. It comes with an attached shower room and a refrigerator, making it a space with every convenience. Soaking in the hot spring while looking out over the pond is pure luxury.

• Dinner: Savoring the tastes of Miyazaki at 'Yonekyu' Enjoy grilled Miyazaki Jidori chicken and freshly cooked clay-pot rice at the Japanese restaurant 'Yonekyu' inside the hotel.
