🌸 A 'Thank You' from within the story—
From Torako, the protagonist of 'Hakodate, the Vanished Vow,' to Ru-chan.
Hello, this is Bell note.
This time, it's a slightly different kind of article than usual.
Ru-chan, who I always enjoy interacting with on note, wrote a wonderful introduction for my novel, 'Hakodate, the Vanished Vow'.
As a way to thank her, I really wanted to express my gratitude in some tangible form—
That's when I thought of video production, which I've recently become obsessed with!
A small experiment in 'having a character from the story say thank you directly.'

🎙 In the video, the protagonist, Torako, speaks to you.
Torako is a free spirit with a sharp intuition who 'tends to get caught up in incidents' while traveling.
The premise is that she is quietly conveying a 'thank you' from the scenery of Hakodate to Ru-chan, who sent her a warm message all the way from Bali...
I chose a watercolor-style animation mixed with live-action aesthetics for the video.
I aimed for a gentle color palette and a relaxed atmosphere, hoping the narration would naturally reach the heart.
📖 A feeling of 'where the story and reality briefly intersect.'
This video was made purely as a token of my personal gratitude to Ru-chan.
However, I believe that when a character from a story speaks to someone, something might reach us—the readers and writers in the real world—
I like to think there are moments like that.
I would be happy if you could take a moment to watch it when you have the time.
And Ru-chan, thank you once again, truly, for such a wonderful introduction article ☺️
Torako also sends her heartfelt thanks.
