[Parent-Child Days #022] God-tier service for kids! Hotel Nikko Tachikawa Tokyo, where we stayed during our Tama trip
Sorry to bother you again!
It's Basha.
This is the 22nd article in 'Parent-Child Days,' a record of the trips I take with my child.
This time, instead of a review of a facility we played at with our child,
this article is about the hotel we stayed at.
I hope this will be helpful for those looking for a place to stay
for Sanrio Puroland or a trip to Tama.
[First, the conclusion]
If you are looking for a hotel for a trip around Tama,
or if you are looking for a hotel to stay at when visiting Sanrio Puroland,
you should definitely stay at
Hotel Nikko Tachikawa!
The service for children is god-tier in every way.
I highly recommend it for families with small children.

[Report & Photos]
For this Tama trip,
we planned to visit Sanrio Puroland and Tama Zoological Park, so
I was a bit unsure about where to stay.
At first, I looked for places near the station in Tama, but
there wasn't a hotel that made me think, 'I want to stay here!'
The reason I chose Hotel Nikko Tachikawa among the options was that,
after comparing online reviews and the official website,
I felt it was the best choice,
even considering the inconvenience of traveling to Tachikawa.
From here on,
here is a short report with photos.
Arrived at the hotel.
After leaving the parking lot near Tama Zoological Park,
there was a little traffic, but we arrived in about 30 minutes.
- Entrance
An exterior with a calm atmosphere.
I'm sorry that this is the only photo I have
and it's hard to get a sense of the atmosphere. lol

- Room
We chose the
Hollywood twin plan.
Since there are
two 100cm beds placed side-by-side,
it is truly reassuring for families with small children.

I forgot to take photos, so
I have used photos from the official website.
・Meals
The accommodation plan included dinner and breakfast. Dinner was
a winter crab kaiseki meal, which felt a bit luxurious.
I will line up photos of the crab dishes and drinks
one after another.
Everything was delicious.

What I was grateful for was that
they prepared not only plates and cups for children,
but also coloring books and picture books.
Even when my child was about to get bored during the meal,
the staff were very attentive,
which was incredibly helpful.

[Good Points]
・Wonderful service for children
When my child
got bored and restless during the meal,
the staff came up with various ideas
like coloring books, picture books, and toys.
・Reassuring Hollywood twin beds
The 100cm beds were pushed together,
which was a huge help as it made it easy to sleep with my child.
When traveling with small children,
the bed type is the most important thing.
・Peace of mind with co-sleeping and bed guards
Not only was it easy to co-sleep,
but they also installed bed guards.
I didn't have to worry much even if my child moved around at night,
which was a great relief as a parent.
・Delicious meals
Both dinner and breakfast were truly delicious,
which was a point that increased our satisfaction with the stay.
It was a hotel where I felt glad we stayed, not just for the accommodation,
but also for the meals.
[Bad Points]
・There are no places for children to play near the hotel
Near the hotel,
there are only convenience stores and supermarkets.
There was no place to just walk around and kill time with the kids.
・The price range is not budget-friendly
Rather than a hotel for a casual, cheap stay,
it is in a slightly more premium price range.
For those looking primarily for low prices,
this might be a point of hesitation.
・It is a hotel for sleeping comfortably, not for small children to play in
It didn't feel like a hotel where you can play a lot inside,
but rather a place to get a good rest.
For those looking for a hotel with many facilities for children,
tastes might differ slightly.

[Summary & Overall Rating]
Hotel Nikko Tachikawa Tokyo is not a hotel fully dedicated to children, but it was a hotel where parents and children can stay with peace of mind.
The spacious Hollywood twin room allowed us to sleep safely even with our child,
the food and drinks were delicious,
and although it is located in Tachikawa City,
it was the perfect base for our Tama trip.
On the other hand,
there are no places for children to play inside or around the hotel,
so my impression was that it is strictly a 'hotel for resting well to be active the next day'.
Therefore, I think it is more suitable for families who are mainly focused on sightseeing and outings rather than those looking for play elements within the hotel itself.
For those who want to stay at a good hotel even if it means traveling a bit,
while visiting places like Tama Zoological Park, Keio Rail Land,
and Sanrio Puroland,
this is the best hotel.
If you are wondering where to stay for your Tama trip,
please definitely try staying at Hotel Nikko Tachikawa!!!
To all of you who love carriages, see you next time.
[Special Thanks]
