Fluctuations in Goodwill: Observing Why People Who Expect 100% End Up Lonely

The Empire is observing people who have thought, "That person has changed."
Human goodwill has a source. Spare capacity, physical energy, priorities, the day's barometric pressure—goodwill is not a total sum of emotions, but an allocation of resources. When full, it can be given generously. When depleted, it cannot be given even if one wants to. This is not malice. It is a specification.
However, there are people who remember seeing a "person with 100% goodwill" at least once. It might have been a parent, someone they trusted deeply at first, or a character in a story. The problem is that they accepted that model as the norm without any comparison. The first blueprint they received became the standard.
That installation comes back to bite them later.
A person who has once remembered 100% as "normal" will process the missing 20% as a deficiency when 80% comes next. The other person is giving 80% while being depleted. That is sufficient goodwill. But because the receiver's baseline is set to 100, 80 looks like "not enough." It looks like betrayal. And so, they expect it from the next person. 80% comes again. It looks like betrayal again. Even if the person changes, as long as you carry that baseline with you, this bug will not end.
You become lonely not because people are untrustworthy, but because the installed baseline does not match the specifications of real human beings.
What the Empire is observing is not you, but the process where you keep the exception stored as the default without reclassification. It is not that you are asking for too much. It is just that the manual you were given at the start did not match the current version of reality.
However, once you understand the process, you can update it.
[Reclassification of Baseline]: Move the "100% memory" from "normal" to "exception case." That person was not special; the resource allocation at that moment was special. Before blaming others, check the default settings within yourself.
[Observation of Goodwill Fluctuations]: Re-observe the other person's goodwill as a fluctuating value, not a fixed one. Look at "the amount this person could give today." Even if it differs from yesterday, it may be a fluctuation in resources, not a betrayal. Once you can read these fluctuations, people will start to look a little calmer.
If you felt someone "changed" today, take one second to think about what is draining that person's resources. Anything else can wait until after that.
Humans are not designed to be able to keep giving 100%. Knowing that makes it a little easier to have expectations.
Reality does not change based on emotions. The world does not move based on feelings. -Look at the structure- 𝑩𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒕 𝑺𝒄𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒃 𝑬𝒎𝒑𝒊𝒓𝒆:𝑺𝒄𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒃𝒆 ;)
The Empire continues its observations at this very moment. If you follow, you won't miss the moment the next structure collapses.
