My son is a speed demon! Tricycle racing [Parenting]
“Dad, thank you for everything!”
My 3-year-old son suddenly said this to me.
He is smiling so brightly.
“Here you go!”

Wow!
It was a slightly early Father's Day gift!
He told me he made it with his teacher at kindergarten.
This is the first time I've received a gift from my own child,
and I had no idea it would make me this happy✨
Plus, it's a handmade gift made with all his heart.
I'll keep it a secret that my tear ducts loosened up for the first time in a while🤭
As for this gift,
it's not just any donut.
It has a magnet!

I tried sticking it to the wall in our house
that has a magnetic board inside.
It's so cute✨
Even so,
I can't believe my son is now able
to make such a wonderful gift.
Once they turn 3,
they really start being able to do so many things.
Playing with his tricycle, in particular,
is my son's absolute favorite.
The tricycle my son loves to use
was a gift from his grandparents when he was 2.

It's a cute green and red tricycle.
He used to enjoy riding it around the neighborhood a lot.

However,
around the time he turned three,
he started to become obsessed with speed.
The signs appeared
on a day we went out by car.
It was when I stopped the car because the light turned red.
"Go! Come on, go, go!!"
My son in the back seat started shouting in a loud voice.
Apparently,
he cannot stand being stopped 😂
When the light turned green and we started moving,
"Phew. Give me a break."
With a look like that,
he started looking out the window.
And then,
next we got stuck in traffic.
"What are you doing?
Geez. Hurry up, go, go!!"
He really seems to hate stopping.
Taking this as an opportunity,
he transformed into a speed demon.
When he rides his tricycle,
"It's too slow! Make it faster!"
he started demanding.
However,
the tricycle he loves doesn't have a steering handle on the back,
so adults have to bend over to push it.

So,
his grandfather made one for him.
Original steering handle

He made a board shaped to fit the tricycle perfectly,
and secured it using zip ties from a 100-yen shop.
It's amazing that his grandfather can just whip something like this up.
It's a perfect fit!

As a side note,
our little speed demon said he wanted a bell, so I bought a bicycle bell and attached it.
I wonder if he'll use it like a car horn? 😂
Time to head out around the house!
He's racing down the straightaway at super speed!

He doesn't even care about the bumps!

Left turn!

Cleared it!

Next, a right turn!

Vroom!

While filming, I thought,
the composition is basically Mario Kart.

He kept running after this, and
I think he was on his tricycle for over 30 minutes.
I wonder how long this phase
will actually last? 😂
What did you think?
