Early Morning Gourmet Activity Log August 2, 2025 02
Well, the rain has let up a bit.
After driving through Tokyo, I arrived at...

It's been a while since I've been to Yodobashi Market.

When you think of Yodobashi Market, you think of "Iseya Shokudo."
I entered right as they opened at 5:00 AM.
The lady who works the floor here is amazing; she never forgets the face of a customer who has visited even once.
It had been so long since my last visit that I couldn't even remember when it was, but she said, "It's been a while, how have you been?"
It makes me so happy! 🎵

The edamame was on the house.
Goro Inokashira ate this on the TV version of "Solitary Gourmet," too.
The sauce, made with plenty of freshly grated ginger, is delicious!
It's a true rice thief.
Even the cabbage soaked in the sauce is a side dish in itself lol
The small bowl of pickles I chose was cucumber and carrot nuka-zuke, and the miso soup was clam.
Come to think of it, it's been a while since I've had clam miso soup.
They said the small bowl of edamame was a complimentary service.
Thank you very much!
As I was leaving, I said, "Thank you for the meal. I've been craving the ginger stir-fry—it was delicious, just like I remembered!"
The lady replied, "Come back again when you've forgotten about us! lol" (laughs)
It's the kind of ginger stir-fry set meal that I usually forget about, but once I remember it, I get an irresistible craving for it. 👍️
