Impressions of my second Morning Musume concert
The other day, I attended my second Morning Musume concert in my life, so as usual, I wrote a long review in my notepad. By my second time attending, the length of my writing has almost doubled.
Morning Musume 2023 Autumn Tour: Second Attendance
I attended my second Morning Musume concert in a month. The friend who accompanied me last time got the tickets, and they managed to get an unbelievably amazing seat, so this time I was able to see them with my own eyes. I don't think I'll ever be able to see the members of Morning Musume this close again in my life. I engraved it into my eyeballs.
During my first concert, I decided that my favorites were Miki Nonaka and Rio Sakurai, but since I only had one penlight, I was at a loss as to what an otaku should do.
For the time being, I was waving Nonaka-san's glow stick at the start, and to my surprise, I felt like Nonaka-san pointed at me halfway through. I felt like my heart had been shot through. The sounds of the world grew distant, my brain was shaken, and I even felt dizzy. From then until the end of the show, I waved Nonaka-san's glow stick in a trance. Nonaka-san was shining as always. She is truly a great singer.
I was able to see Rio Sakurai with my own eyes for the first time, and her facial expression management is truly amazing. Even when she wasn't being shown on the monitor, her expressions were constantly changing, and it was fun to watch. When she waved to the audience, she always had a full smile on her face; she was bright and energetic, and just watching her was healing. She is also good at MCing. I thought she was like the sun. It is truly a blessing that someone like me can worship the sun with my own eyes.
Last time, I was quite far from the stage, so I mainly watched the monitors and marveled at the beauty of the overall dance and formations. But this time, I was close enough to see everyone's faces with my own eyes, so I was looking at Nonaka-san so much that I don't remember much else. I was so focused on Nonaka-san that I felt like we made eye contact about five times during the performance. I also felt like she waved at me. When I told my friend about this after the show, they said, "You entered the 'zone'." Apparently, when otaku enter the "zone," they see hallucinations and hear things. It seems my brain was so shaken by seeing Nonaka-san with my own eyes that I entered the "zone." What even is the "zone"?
Since I can't go to Fukumura-san's graduation concert at the end of this month, this will be the last time I see her. As I thought last time, Fukumura-san's singing is on another level. She is as beautiful as a fairy, and her singing voice has incredible stability. During the performance, I thought "She's too good at singing!!!" about 300 times. I almost cried during Never Ending Shine. Also, I cried during Namida-tchi. I think the sense to name such an emotional song "Namida-tchi," which sounds like the name of a mysterious local mascot character, is truly amazing. It had such an impact that I remembered it in an instant.
I'm glad I was able to spend a wonderful day. I definitely want to attend again, clutching my purple glow stick. Next time, I'll buy another penlight.
